DonnaWanna
NHL | Devils finalize deal to move to Newark Newark, N.J., received a $100 million letter of credit yesterday from the New Jersey Devils, making certain the team will begin play in a new downtown arena with the 2007-08 season. The city and Devils broke ground in October on the $310 million, 18,000-seat arena. Newark, in luring them from East Rutherford, has committed $210 million toward the project. "Let this definitive and final agreement leave no doubt that the New Jersey Devils will start the '07-'08 season at this world-class, state-of-the-art facility," Devils principal owner Jeffrey Vanderbeek said in a statement.
