But when used wisely (not like the average idiot who thinks doing drugs makes him cool), the likelihood of a bad trip is very low. Now, the reason why I find this drug interesting is because it actually has therapeutic value, here are the results and explanation of a recent study (2014) (although the sample size is small) : http://www.maps.org/...py-followup.pdf Unfortunately, because LSD is a Schedule I substance in the United States, it makes it hard for researchers to get the authorization to study it and that's why there aren't many recent studies about it. However, there are also many old studies about LSD done decades ago. Some of these old studies suggest than it can also be useful to treat alcoholism : http://www.nature.co...oholism-1.10200 Now, what I'm saying here is not only true for LSD but also for other psychedelic substances like psilocybin (active ingredient in magic mushrooms) or MDMA or Ayahuasca or Ibogaine, studies have also shown great promise for the therapeutic value of these drugs.
