KenJennings
Athletes owe nothing to the media or the fans beyond their on field performance. If the athletes make a contract with sponsors, that's their own business and they should fulfill their obligations. But if the league and the broadcasters can't work with the product that is the sport; that's on them. As far as I'm concerned, sanctioning bodies have encroached too far into the affairs of their talent in most ways. Stop running your sport like it's a reality TV show, looking for manufactured drama and juicy sound bytes. Your talent should be focused on showing their worth on the field.
