jnoble Posted February 11, 2019 Share Posted February 11, 2019 I don't think Brown insisted on anything on Hemispheres being recorded in a different key than what the band composed...Geddy just said that he didn't realize how hard it was going to be to sing until it came time to lay down the vocals. Geddy was angry at Brown for not noticing that beforehand when they were recording the instrumental parts.Although to be honest Hemispheres/Circumstances/The Trees don't really sound vocally all that much higher or harder than anything else they recorded in the mid 70s, especially parts of 2112 or Farewell To Kings, etc etc Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
