  1. Being more of a Kiss and Van Halen fan,I thought seeing them for the first time in Quebec City last summer would have been good.To my surprise,I found it to be Awesome!Great energy and sometime amusing videos on the screen.I had seen bootlegs of other tours but this one was the best with Moving Pictures played in its entirety.Wished the Time Machine tour would have lasted another year.
  2. Its hard enough keeping your eyes concentrated on that small Cam screen while filming that I just don't know how you will accomplish worthwhile filming with a blocker in front of the screen. There are so many people filming and taking pictures that I wouldn't worry about it.Most international artists don't give a sh$$t about being filmed these days.If worst comes to worst you will probably get warned to put it away.I have yet to read a post of someone being thrown out for filming a gig.
  3. Well if they don't want to put one out there isn't much fans can do.If there are only a few shows left maybe one of these last shows could have several good filmers organize and make a good 3 Cam mix of a show. Just a thought.
  4. There was approx. 80,000 or 90,000 people at Quebec City.I think it was the Largest Crowd they played for as there own act. They played at the Toronto Sars fest. with more people but AC/DC and others were the headliners for that show. I have just uploaded the 360 view of the crowd perhaps 45 minutes before the show in Quebec City for those interseted. Also shows my filming position for the first hour of the show. Then I kinda squeezed my way more centerwise for the remainder of the show.
  5. Rushfan, If you are far,say further then 100 feet, take screen shots only with Flip Cam or else it will be so small,it will be almost worthless.
  6. Yeah,I did for the Quebec City at Scene Bell which was an outdoor concert on the 07/15/2010.I used the Flip Ultra HD.Good lightweight little cam.Its weaknesses are the 2 hour limit and the zoom. Its strenght is it can handle very loud Audio with little or no distortion. This show should be torrented soon so you will be able to see what it gives.I was about 70 some feet from the Stage so it was ok. Here is a sample of a Phil Collins Cover I filmed with it at approx 30 feet from the Stage and the Audio is very good.
  7. In response to Supersyl stating that about half the people at the Summer Fest. are being there just to see a show because they have a Summer Fest. pass,I totally disagree.Perhaps a few thousand but thats all.People won't go thru all the hassles of Pay Parking headaches and the leaving traffic frenzy at the end to see a show they don't like.I know I didn't go see any of the French Artists because it is of little interest to me.Perhaps the root of the frustration is that Montreal has a mediocre Jazz fest. that pulls in Artists like Stevie Wonder and other discount has beens.
  8. I prefer the outdoor shows as long as it doesn't rain. The larger crowds(Quebec summer fest) seems to make the Artists more appreciated and they in return often react to it.Feels like there is more Energy to the show. The sound is usually good if up close. Downside of exterieur concerts are the limited amounts of Toilets and then trying to return to your unreserved spot!
  9. Will trade show for other time Machine Tour shows or other 2010 shows of other Bands of interest.
  10. I filmed the entire show in Quebec City.I had to change cam after 1 hour 50 minutes because of Battery Failure. The second cam had distorted sound for the remainder of the show, approx 35 min.Good filming up close with a mixture of stage and Screen shots.
