  1. Great topic guys! I finally saw a T4E! I tought it was a legend! You lucky guy. I also collect Rush records but more for a listening experience so I don't go for all the rare bootlegs. Here's a picture from my collection from maybe 3 years ago : http://i892.photobucket.com/albums/ac126/gabpower/Vinyl%20collection/rush.jpg I aquired more records since that picture was taken. The only major albums I need are Test For Echo and Vapor Trails but these two are too expensive/rare. But I'll gladly settle with the Remix version of VT once it's on sale.
  2. Hello fellow fans. I just got the news that Rush will be on the official T-Shirt for RSD 2013! Check this link : http://recordstoreda...Item/9004214333 Now I'd like to know if there will be a special Rush vinyl release... perhaps a vinyl boxed set? A man can dream.....

    rare test pressing

A test pressing is like any other record. It won't really degrade from a few plays. If it's an acetate then that's another story. @kbomb : what's on the matrix around the label?
  4. If you want to rock, don't stress yourself. Learn from all the artists you love and you will get your own sound, like someone else said before. It might be better to learn easier songs to start with than progressively go to more complex ones. Rush has complex timings so if you can play most of the songs you already listed, you should be a great player already. You should definitely join a band and enjoy making your own music with other people just like you. Oh and forget the tabs, use your ears!
  5. Didn't get a reply yet...
  6. I emailed Anthem. Thanks for the suggestion.
  7. I just seen the mention of the Moving Pictures reissue on vinyl and I'd like to know if someone else had info on that? Seen at http://rush.ilovethatsong.com/ http://i892.photobucket.com/albums/ac126/gabpower/movingpictures.jpg
  8. I don't get why people are fussed about beach balls. They're fun if you're at a fun rock show but if you're at a death metal show they might be out of place. I think people try too hard to be "straight" and they should loosen up a bit and have fun at a show, especially if you're on the floor. Rush shows I've seen were filled with people who had almost no clue why they were there and they looked bummed out. I know their music is not very upbeat and happy but come on!
  9. Hi all! Once again Rush delivered a great performance in Quebec city. It was pretty much flawless and nothing went really bad. There was huge crowd but I can't find how much people there was there from what I could read. The crowd felt numb most of the time and I guess most of them didn't knew Rush much. I loved the modifications in a few songs (circus-like music before La Villa Strangiato, reggae intro to Working Man...). Here's an article (in French) with the setlist at the end : http://www.cyberpresse.ca/le-soleil/dossie...87_article_POS2 That song "Love 4 Sale", is it the acoustic guitar alex played? I am wondering if there's any possibility to get my hand on a copy of the show like the one on the big screens? If there was other people there, leave a message here!
  10. Hi all. I'm not sure if this is the right place to post request (I did not find any "marketplace" category) but I'm looking for Vapor Trails and Counterparts on vinyl record so if you have one of them that you would be willing to sell than message me back and we'll discuss. Thanks!
