  1. Hey people, about the "Train Wreck" in Tom Sawyer Wed night, yes they finished out of sync, it looked as though Neil got off for a while. It shows they are human and it is indeed "live." But as for the terrible guitar solo, if you noticed in the video when they all switched intruments, Neil is playing guitar...badly. I think Alex was just providing the proper audio. I may be wrong.
  2. Hard to put in words how great this show was. I did catch the crash at the end of TS, but missed the screw-up Monday in camera eye. Maybe because I was 33 rows closer. First set highlights: BU2B and Freewill (again!). Second set: Red Barchetta and Closer to the Heart. It was at that point that I realized how appropriate that this tour is named Time Machine because these songs and these musicians are truly "timeless." 35 year old songs sound as fresh and lyrically relevant as 3 month old compositions. Time Stands Still...indeed.
  3. Did not hear any Tull on the PA at Red Rocks Monday, but if you want the best live recording of TAAB I would go with the Bursting Out version. It was recorded the year before the MSG concert and had John Glascock playing bass. The MSG show had fill-in friend Tony Williams as Glascock was ill so I don't think it was as tight, but I digress...after last night I think Rush has surpassed Tull as my fav band in the world! Any more Tull questions though, I will try to answer.
  4. My 11th time seeing "The Holy Triumvurate" and far and away the best performance yet. The snafu with the video at the start was no big deal, and I agree from Freewill on they were ON! Maybe it was just me in the 49th row but it seemed that during the first set anyway Neil was a little buried in the mix, but Alex was simply amazing. His solo in Marathon still is giving me goose bumps. Hope they mix it up a little tomorrow and switch a couple songs. I would love to hear my all time fav "Middletown Dreams."
  5. I have been a Tull fan for even longer than I have been a Rush fan. TAAB changed my life in 1972, seriously. I will let you know which version they play (if they play it,that is) after Monday's concert at Red Rocks. I have 6 versions myself in my library, it should be one of those I would think. Wow, Tull at a Rush show, I always knew there was a connection. As if I couldn't be any more psyched for these 2 shows at the Rocks ( The venue that JT took the blame for being closed to Rock and Roll for 6 years back in 1971...) Yeah, I'm an old fart but I can still ROCK!
  6. Yes!!!....49th row Monday with a buddy and 16th row Wed by myself!
