  1. Naaaaaah...the shitty threads are the poll threads. As if.... Know what I mean Vern? This is good stuff!
  2. QUOTE (metaldad @ Jul 23 2012, 01:07 PM) Mine is No strings I will Second that.
  3. Clearfield, Pennsylvania!!!!!!!!!!!!
  4. There is nothing wrong with celebrating success. Luckily I can afford to see whatever band I want to see and sit anyplace I wish to sit. If the day comes that I cannot do that, then I simply don't do it. Life moves on....
  5. As long as people are willing to pay huge sums to see the rockers of yesteryear, prices will keep going up. [/u My favorite line in that article.
  6. Probably for the same reason that violence and sex dominate the movie industry: because that stuff sells. Same thing with ticket prices;as long as people shell out the cash, they will charge. Once the crowds dwindle and/or the act starts to suck, ticket prices will go down.
  7. Best threads on the forum for sure!!!!!!!! Keep postin' them!!!!!!!
  8. QUOTE (Hatchetaxe&saw @ Jul 29 2012, 12:00 PM) I like TM's threads. They're funny, and a welcome break from the sonic complaints threads and the utter cockandballsness of those setlist prediction threads. Write away TM! Let your freak flag fly!!! +1
  9. QUOTE (Tombstone Mountain @ Jul 28 2012, 12:26 AM) QUOTE (iluvgeddy05 @ Jul 25 2012, 01:25 PM) QUOTE (losingit2k @ Jul 25 2012, 12:12 PM) QUOTE (iluvgeddy05 @ Jul 25 2012, 11:55 AM) can we stop these now? Why? These things are funny, they aren't hurting anyone? You're not a midget are you? Come on iLuvGeddy05, It's much better to laugh than to cry! I'll take this over the numerous negative Rush Threads here any day. They are creative and humours. At least I think so. I say give us more Yukon Blade Grinder Reports. Since we're not getting anything out of the RUSH camp on the set list and probably won't until opening night just like on The Time Machine Tour. They are funny the first one or two times, yes. But it gets old really fast. I don't come on here nearly as much as "back in the day" (things like this are probably why), so when I do, I want to get the most bang for my (imaginative) buck. Not every single thread is going to be serious and true, I realize, but if I am looking for information on tours, songs, anything NEW, I don't care to click on and through dozens of fake threads to find what is real. Waste of my time. I've read your post a couple times. You need to lighten up and take in some Seven Cities of Gold...it'll make you feel better. Your post sounds like an ivy leager browbeating someone at a McDonald's drive-thru, demanding that fifth pack of ketchup. Get a grip... NICE!!!!!!!!!! +1
  10. LMAO!!!!!!! Reading is a lost art....
  11. I was given the opportunity to travel to see the band opening night. Not sure if I will accept it or not. Already seeing them twice. If I do go, I do not think I would not feed TRF the setlist. Bruce Dickinson of Iron Maiden caught a fan txting during one of their shows and gave that person hell. Funny stuff. On a serious note, I go to concerts to enjoy the show, not feed the world information. Sorry...

Waste of my time. Thank you...I agree completely. Agreed I think that you guys know what your getting when you click on the name. My suggestion--go to another thread and enjoy the forum. That's what is so beautiful about this place--so many options. Wish you Well! +1
  13. Personally, my take is that when I am looking for accurate information regarding this particular band, TRF is not on my "go to " list.
  14. Perhaps expectations are set a bit too high for a free, public forum. Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm......
  15. I find it pretty funny that people have, either real or preceived, expectations regarding public forums and the threads that are created within them. I find such posts entertaining and worth the read. Threads, such as this one, sure beat the whining regarding ticket prices and pre-sale seat selections. Nobody forces a person to read posts, much like nobody necessarily forces one to watch violent movies. I say keep it open and free and let the entertainment be what it is.

I'm happy someone get's enjoyment out of them. Much better than the majority of the "polls" that are posted out there. Keep up the good work!

  18. QUOTE (bluefox4000 @ Jul 25 2012, 09:25 AM) What i don't get is why people get up in arms when someone DARE Criticize CA....it's unbelievable. Just cause we don't share your rah-rah attitude. Granted the album's not horrible.....but it's far from a masterpiece. Now is that the definitive opinion...no. But it's an opinion, we all have one....get over it Mick +1
  19. Paid $80.00 for premium seats for Alice Cooper and Iron Maiden. Roger Waters was a little on the steep side at about $110.00. Rush.....more expensive.... they have to put on a flawlwss show to beat the above two shows. Just sayin'...
  20. QUOTE (launchpad67a @ Jul 12 2012, 10:57 PM) Has it ever occurred to anyone that it might not be the fault of the producer or engineer for whatever you feel is wrong with this record? Could it be the band? Nah, no way. What could possibly be wrong with layering 30 guitar tracks per song, with bass, drums, synths, effects and vocals? That's gotta sound great, all those guitar tracks competing for space with all the other single tracked instruments...right? No, not right. The "producer" obviously has a major input on the direction, sound and structure of the songs, but he doesn't have the final say. Ultimately the band determines how much content each song gets, i.e; number of tracks. The "engineer" only records and (sometimes) mixes what the band plays. If Alex wants 30 guitar tracks, the engineer records them, period. They may not use all those tracks, but that's up to the producer, then the band. I guess what I'm saying is, this record is thick with tracks. There is a shit load of sound competing for space. When you have all those layers, things get noisy. I feel this record has so much guitar on it, it covers up everything. This is not necessarily the fault of the producer or engineer. If the band wants all those layers, they get it.
  21. QUOTE (drgrendel @ Jul 12 2012, 09:09 PM) After about 15 shows he will lose his voice for good. That, my friends, will be all she wrote. In all seriousness....he will be just fine.
