  1. I don't totally agree that they could pull off all of the old stuff successfully just because so much of the vocals were much higher than Ged's current range. I think Anthem, Bastille Days, What You're Doing, Something For Nothing, etc. would all be a stretch. I have been pushing for In the End since a good portion is more talk than scream.
  2. QUOTE (Hemispheres89 @ Jun 17 2010, 11:11 AM) Today is exactly 30 days ( a month) before my show. I certainly hope they come over the next two weeks. By the way, if they always ship it out 2-4 weeks before your date, then how come this guy for August got his way before anybody else? The frustrating part is why they don't ship the tickets out in the order that the show is scheduled. The Milwaukee show tickets that I'm waiting for should have been the second batched shipped in my mind. Makes no sense that they have this "2 weeks before show" agenda yet send them out in some random order.
  3. QUOTE (okiimatsu @ Jun 17 2010, 01:11 AM) Just received an e-mail from the pre-sale that my tickets for the August 13th show in Irvine, California have shipped! Much sooner than I expected for sure! So you get a confirming email for a show 2 months away yet I sit here freaking out about not getting tickets, an email or anything telling me that my tickets are coming for a show in just over 2 weeks. I received a very generic "form" email from MT this morning saying "tickets are sent out approximately 2 weeks before the event". Nothing specific about the order number(s) I provided. To me this is just their way of saying your concerns aren't important to us. You'll see 'em when you see 'em. I'm F'N pissed.
  4. I'm not real crazy about 1/2 of the S&A material but the one song that would make me run for a beer is................RED SECTOR A. Something about that song just makes my skin crawl.
  5. We get a lot of postings for "I hope they play this" or "what if this album is represented". My question is assuming you don't know the setlist in advance, what song's first notes will send you running to the beer vendor? (or soda stand for the non drinkers)
  6. 17 days until the Milwaukee show and still no tickets or responses to my emails to Music Today. Hey MT
  7. Well I checked my mail again yesterday afternoon and no tickets. I did get a flyer though telling me that 15 minutes could save me 15% on my car insurance though...
  8. QUOTE (Hemispheres89 @ Jun 14 2010, 02:39 PM) QUOTE (syd11 @ Jun 14 2010, 01:35 PM) QUOTE (iluvgeddy05 @ Jun 14 2010, 11:45 AM) QUOTE (Hemispheres89 @ Jun 13 2010, 11:42 PM) QUOTE (coolcool23 @ Jun 13 2010, 10:30 PM) I'm also still waiting on my Milwaukee tickets, preordered in April as well from Music Today. Tomorrow is 15 business days away from the event and I was thinking about calling them because the order webpage still lists no tracking info/indication that it's shipped. I've sent three emails to two separate addresses over there (two about an issue with the time machine tour merchandise storefront, one about the tickets) and I've only gotten one response which came after about 10 days or so on it's own. Getting pretty nervous here. I seriously don't know why they insist on making people this nervous. It's not only the issue of being nervous about money; I could care less about getting a refund. I just don't want to miss out on the damn SHOW! I heard they wait 2 weeks prior to shipping to neutralize the possibiity that we might scalp our discounted ticjets for its original face value. But technically... even if they do wait for the 2 week allotment, we could still show up at the venue on the concert date and scalp outside for that value. They're nuts for doing this. I resold a MT ticket on stubhub and made it clear on there I did not have the ticket in hand due to this. So avoiding reselling or scalping tickets is a lame excuse Interesting that you brought up the Stubhub thing. I actually have 2 orders pending through the Music Today presale. I jumped on the first set I saw thinking it was the best available but later saw much better seats offered and bought a 2nd pair of tickets. I posted the 1st set on Stubhub but they ask for a date you guarantee to ship them by. Knowing that my last Music Today purchase for the S&A tour arrived a month in advance I put down a date of June 16th as the latest I would ship the tickets sold. My bigger concern now is that if I don't meet the 6/16 date promised, the purchaser can back out of the transaction and then I'm stuck trying to sell tickets 2 weeks before the Milwaukee 7/3 show. I tried emailing them and got a response 3 days later asking me for more info. I thought my name, date of purchase, venue date, venue location, band I'm seeing, and confirmation numbers for both purchases was sufficient info but I guess not. I'm totally pissed with this whole waiting game especially when others have received their tickets through the same presale for concerts weeks later than the one I'm attending. Am I being an ass about this whole thing? Just flippin' ridiculous in my opinion. That's gay, what will the actual ticket itself have that will contain "more information" that they desire? I've never used StubHub, but i would think that the order number is enough that they can use to track your shipment. And what's with the silly little fact that they need a specified guaranteed shipment date? Does MusicToday give US that? NOPE! Instead, they leave us hanging with our hard-earned money. "hmmm, well the band is RUSH, and they're epic, so since we're offering presale tickets at a discount that were ridiculously jacked up originally, and these people are going for it since the economy is at a downturn, the least we can do is have a little fun with them now. Let's make the bastards wait!" Probably what they're thinking. It's official. I've gone insane over this. I was referring to Music Today not Stubhub that required more info. I appreciate that I'm not the only one who thinks the whole MT Presale shit is a joke though. Thanks for holding my tickets until the last minute to protect buyers from scalping. I love it (sarcasm) when a company knows "what's best" for me........................kind of like our government!
  9. QUOTE (amish_ashaman @ Jun 13 2010, 12:34 AM) QUOTE (hughes&kettner @ Jun 12 2010, 05:49 PM) no we cannot. i didn't say it was my dream setlist. i don't flatout care that you don't like it anyways. clog this. I care, for what it's worth. I dig seeing what songs are everyone else's favorites. I kind of like seeing others dream lists also. What else is there to discuss until the actual setlist is revealed?

  12. QUOTE (snowdog212 @ Jun 12 2010, 09:41 AM) I dont trust Craiglist at all. But about Stub Hub or any other broker if its the day of the show. How do you get tickets delivered to you? I never know if you can barter with broker for seat prices.Do you e-mail them with an offer? I don't believe you can barter with Stubhub but I believe if you are purchasing tickets within 48hrs. of the show that you have to do the print at home option.
  13. Still no tickets as of 6/10 but I see others have received theirs. Has anyone gotten tickets yet for the 7/3 show in Milwaukee?
  14. QUOTE (iluvgeddy05 @ Jun 11 2010, 08:53 AM) Well, it's two days before show time and I just scored Row T a few minutes ago! Kinda back from the stage (20th row?) but for being a somewhat big fan (not HUGEE like Rush), I am happy with this. Especially since the last couple of days I've been pulling single tickets from WAY back in the ampitheater. The only other time I saw Sugarland was on the lawn, so this is great! Thanks for the advice everyone! Very excited Congrats!!!! Enjoy the show.
  15. QUOTE (EmotionDetector @ Jun 10 2010, 11:12 AM) I definitely agree...there was no use for BU2B to have that acronym given to it. 'Brought Up To Believe' sounds like a great title for a song. Hopefully in some interview down the line, somebody can ask the boys why they specifically chose to go with that title, rather than the full form. Maybe they have a specific reason for it... Actually I think the title brought a little more buzz to the anticipation of it's release. What could BU2B stand for??? People made all sorts of speculations on what it could be. It turned out not to be all that mystical in the end but I think it was a good way to get people anxious about the song.

  17. I'm a little embarrased to say that I hadn't gotten a chance to give the 2 new Rush songs a good listen until last night but man... I really like what I hear. I had only heard Youtube postings of the songs at work and my computer's speakers aren't very good so I couldn't make a sound decision on what I thought of the tunes. Last night I was able to hear both and was blown away. I think between the 2 of them that BU2B sounds more radio friendly and I don't really mind the obvious religious overtones of the song. In fact, I like this tune better than 3/4 of S&A. I love everything about Caravan musically but need a few more listens to fully appreciate the lyrics. Caravan instrumentally reminds me of everything I loved about the Counterparts album and think it could have easily fit on that release. Bottom line is that I think both of these will absolutely smoke live and I'm more stoked than ever about this tour!
  18. QUOTE (iluvgeddy05 @ Jun 9 2010, 01:55 PM) I know many wait until a few hours (or minutes!) before a show to grab some great seats and have had great luck every time. I am looking to do this not for Rush but another concert this weekend that I don't have tickets too. My question is: What's a good time frame to buy these *good* last minute tickets right at the venue's box office? 1 hour? 3 hours? Does it vary matter? Please share your experiences and tips! Thanks I've had good luck getting good tickets through Ticketmaster 2 days before an event and then picking them up at the venue. I think showing up at the show and grabbing tix is kind of a crap shoot. If it's not sold out you might have better luck just picking up tix outside the venue from a scalper especially if it's getting close to show time and they need to dump them. I'm not promoting scalping................just sayin'.
  19. QUOTE (RushNut @ Jun 7 2010, 03:01 PM) Did anyone READ the confirmation email? Yes, of course I read the confirmation email. The reason I asked is that for the last tour I received my tickets a month before the show date and wanted to know if others heard anything yet or received their tix. As one person has confirmed, some have already shipped out and so I got my answer. Sorry if I'm concerned about the $370 I paid for tickets 2 months ago.
  20. QUOTE (kbomb106 @ Jun 7 2010, 01:42 PM) QUOTE (Hemispheres89 @ Jun 7 2010, 02:40 PM) Hey, which show, if you don't mind me asking? The first one on June 29th? Nope. 7/19. kbomb you're giving me hope!
  21. QUOTE (kbomb106 @ Jun 7 2010, 01:38 PM) Got mine today - for a different show, mind you, but FWIW, they are shipping them out. You received yours for a different Rush show? What is the date of the show you're attending? I'd love to find these in the mailbox when I get home today!
  22. I'm going to the Milwaukee show in 3 1/2 weeks and no word yet.
  23. QUOTE (tel @ Jun 4 2010, 08:48 AM) not easy to pick 3 BUT..... fountain of lamneth xanadu hemispheres as for range i dunno but likely not Love your choices but I think Xanadu is the only one that has a chance of being played.
  24. Assuming Rush will pull at least a few deep cuts out for this tour, what 3 songs from the 1st 6 albums (Rush - Hemispheres) would you want to hear. After careful consideration and keeping Geddy's current vocal abilities in mind, I'm picking the following: In the End Twilight Zone Cinderella Man
  25. That would be sweet and totally unexpected.
