  3. QUOTE (JohnnyBlaze @ Sep 21 2009, 06:08 AM) QUOTE (Janie @ Sep 20 2009, 10:55 PM) QUOTE (Der Trommler @ Sep 18 2009, 09:48 AM) QUOTE (-D-RocK- @ Sep 17 2009, 11:55 AM) All you guys are nuts and full of shit too. Fox is a hot piece of ass and if she were standing in front of you right now naked and said "make love to me big boy", not a single one of you dudes claiming to be straight would turn and walk away. Let's be honest. If we're being honest, most guys would do almost any chick that has a decent body or nice enough face. So, in a sense, what you're saying is true but in the broad spectrum, she's like any other.... Yeah, this kills me! Come on guys. We're talking about a one-time fling. You'd say "No," honestly? Dating is one thing but hopping in the sack is completely different. Heck, I'd say "Yes" to her. I'm no idiot! She's hot. If a hot chick was into me, ok. I mean, heck. Why not? And for the record, Johnny Depp is way hot. exactly! there are liars on here! it's easy to say "no, she's not all that/she's too thin/bla-bla-bs" to an attractive girl that one will never meet or have a snowball's chance in hell with even if they did meet! Well I have no idea who she is, but if the opportunity arose I would most definitely take it with open arms. What is there not to like anyway
  4. Dear Greggs: The Bakers Thank you for the totally awesome Chicken Club Baguette this morning. Fresh, crisp, tasty and filling. So much better than Subway too. I am content Sonny
  5. Dear Mr BossMan of PC-World, would you kindly hire staff who at least know what they're talking about when it comes to answering basic questions about computers, as opposed to the woodentops you currently hire at one particular store in Birmingham. Thanks sonny
  6. Another great facet about that movie is that it used old-school sfx as opposed to the rather tedious & relentless cgi rubbish we get these days.
  7. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DBwnKQEJkiM (Cadbury's Gorilla plays "In the air tonight") Love this one
  8. The Thing remake, is totally awesome with KR headlining. Although rumours abound that a further remake is in the offing, but no JC or KR. I quite liked KR in "Little China" but I don't know if comedy is really his thing though
  9. Those smug gits on the latest IBM ads, extolling the virtues of IBM enterprise systems Yeah right, whatever!
  10. I won't be going to the pub for a carvery this lunch time: nope, instead I will spend the next 3 hours preparing & cooking my own roast beef joint with all the trimmings
  11. whenever a news reporter interviews some guy about to lose his job and the guy says "Listen, I'm just a working man....." and my mind instantly jumps to that wonderful intro...
  12. QUOTE (Margana @ Sep 19 2009, 08:00 PM) I have always been a fan of Deep Purple and Rainbow. Preferred the 70's line up and albums. Always thought that Ian Paice was greatly underrated as a drummer. Listen to the drumming on Burn as an example. Paice was amazing back in the 70s... still is in fact. And you're right: he never got the recognition he so definitely deserved
  13. Dear ITV/Channel 4/BBC1 Will you stop broadcasting dumbed down shite 24/7? Thank you Sonny

  15. DP, has always been a fine rock band. But I personally believe they had their peak back in the early 70s with Glover,Gillan & Blackmore, Paice & Lord Classic songs such as "Smoke on the water", "Child in Time", "Strange Kind of Woman", and "Woman from Tokyo" still feel fresh even now. Great days: great music
  16. I would give up booze tomorrow if my wife told me to
  17. I think our politicians work really hard for the benefit of the People
  18. QUOTE (librarian @ Sep 18 2009, 07:44 PM)QUOTE (Mara @ Sep 10 2009, 09:39 PM)I have vague memories of all 3. This is going to freak all of you out, but when I was in elementary school, our Saturday night tradition was the documentary series "World War I". Really. Once I was old enough to understand (and thanks to Dad for his patience with all of my questions) I really enjoyed the show. As a result, I read quite a bit about it and did a few reports and presentations on it. I was probably the only eight year old who could spell "Gallipoli"! Do you mean The World at War? That was a tv staple in my house on weekends. and Star Trek and Space 1999 1 tv no choices...GAAA!!!! Bloody hell, Space 1999! Remember that show as a kid in the 70s:. I always imagined it would actually be like that in 1999, having a huge base on the Moon. How disappointing that we're not even close to seeing that happen. Another SF TV series I loved back then was "UFO". Loved those Delorean look-alike cars and the Moonbase Alphans. Best of all was the theme tune... lush, if a little corny http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y8RfzkhqBLY
  19. QUOTE (Jack Aubrey @ Sep 18 2009, 02:01 PM) The Man From U.N.C.L.E.! The Invaders! This was one of my Mom's favorite shows and I always enjoyed watching it with her. It was fun to play "spot the invader" during the show. What set them apart from us? They couldn't bend their little fingers! 'The Rat Patrol'! Simply awesome! I certainly recall the first two, especially Man from UNCLE, which was a kind of James Bond spoof. But Robert Vaughn & David McCalum were quite brilliant in their roles. And "The Invaders" was great Sunday afternoon tv as well. Another spin off from the awesome film "Invasion of the Body Snatchers" Happy days
  20. "Lonesome Crow" ~ Scorpions "No Heavy Petting" ~ UFO "Assault Attack" ~ Michael Schenker All vinyl albums from a carboot sale last night. Well pleased
  21. "Malignant Narcissism" off S&A Second time this week this track has totally rocked my mind
  22. QUOTE (Blenderhead @ Sep 18 2009, 07:33 AM) QUOTE (Sonatine @ Sep 18 2009, 02:30 AM) GUP, by far, especially with tracks like "Subdivisions", "Red Sector A" and "Distant Early Warning". Probably not quite so relevent now in this post-cold war age, but certainly back in the mid 80s those songs really hit home I didn't realize Subdivisions was on GUP. hahaha... no nor did I,. DOH For some reason I had that song in my head ... I should have said "Between The Wheels" (I need my medication lol)
