I don't know, don't think I can get into too much these days. You're right though, good music for the shitty weather.

Transylvanian Hunger!!! :haz: :haz: :haz: :haz: Haven't listened to them in years!

Yeah, don't think many of TRF's are into serial killer inspired metal!
-
Not sure if it's extreme enough, but it's a favorite of mine- Macabre "Dahmer."

Hahaha! You are my rock and roll brother! I was going to mention Bruce too but strangely enough my favorite Maiden album is KILLERS!!! Your four are excellent though!!!!!! David Coverdale, DIO! Mikael A from Opeth! Shit! How could I forget Dio? Mikael just for his comedic skills alone makes him great. You mentioned Killers and just last night I watched some recent footage of Paul Dianno doing Murders in the Rue Morgue(my favorite from that album by the way) and it was embarrassing to say the least! That guy is so pathetic these days I felt bad for him. Voice is completely gone and the guy looks fukking terrible. I respect those first two albums, but Harris was right to get rid of him. No way in hell would Maiden have made it this far with Paul.

Sorry my brother! I had to add in the poll! I can only do seven songs per question so I had to add the second question. Weird!! Anyway I agree with you!! "Mean Street" is probably the best. I can't decide yet! Mean Street it is! :haz: My rock and roll brother, I must say that the "Mean Street" riff is probably the greatest guitar riff EVER! "Rock Bottom" is second! LOL! I love being a flip flopper! Hence it's so hard to choose!!! I still think a young Eddie Vs a young Michael would be one hell of a guitar war. It would have been fun to watch! Eddie would probably overpower Michael's playing by watts and amplification. It's definitely up there, but for greatest riff ever I might have to go with an AC/DC tune- maybe Rosie? Riff Raff? Hell, maybe even BIB? The Young brothers have written some of the greatest riffs to my ears!

Pretty sure it's the Maiden England 2012 design.

It's really starting to grow on me too. I'd never heard them before, and it took me a while to get acquainted with their vocal style. Yesterday night I was awake doing bank bills and Bleeding the Pigs started and it was like - Wah, this is the right kind of music to get me through this s*it. Long time Neurosis fan and Honor Found In decay is an awesome album. They're a band you don't listen to, it's an experience. Absolutely amazing band! Then maybe you're the right person to answer this: http://www.therushfo...found-in-decay/ Neurosis all the way! The Swans are great too and a huge influence on Neurosis, just not into them as much. -

WTF? Jello Biafra and the Guantanamo School Of Medicine should get top billing instead of that tiny script you can barely see! :tsk:

that probot album isnt bad, some cool singers on that shit That's my problem with Dave Grohl- he's a cool guy and a huge metalhead, but he's got one of the shittiest bands in existence! -

Yup , Away the drummer does all their artwork. The cover is very reminiscent of The Probot album cover he drew. Target Earth isn't his best, but it's not too bad. -

It most certainly is!  :haz: :guitar: When I read that the band would channel the Dimension Hatross and Nothingface "sound" I was anxiously awaiting to hear the album, now that it's here I can't believe how fuuking good this album is! They definitely nailed the signature Voivod sound on this one and Piggy would be proud! :haz: Yeah it's a surprisingly convincing and authentic sounding slab of Voivod! Like nothing has changed! :givebeer: Aye! ;) It could be their best album since...well for YEARS and YEARS! :o :o :o :smoke: :haz: For me it's the best since The Outer Limits. I like the self titled release with Newsted, but Katorz and Infini were just ok. Target Earth is a great return to form. Jason Newsted..? Yeah he joined the band around the turn of the century... I think it was actually about 2002, but "turn of the century" sounds more sci-fi and epic which is in line with the overall feel of the thread... And it seems he uses the name Jasonic in Voivoid. So who's Piggy? Yup, Newsted was Jasonic and Piggy was their guitarist who died in 2005 from colon cancer. -
