  1. Taken on my drive today. http://www.rushweb.net/pics/personal/me.jpg
  2. I always love telling this story. I was a member of a Christian Singing Group when I was in my teens. A large number of the group were going to see this concert and asked if I wanted to go. I didn't know who Rush was, but agreed. I'll never forget praying in the car before we went into the show, and there were about 7 people just staring at us when we were praying! That was the Grace Under Pressure tour in Buffalo, and I haven't missed a tour since.
  3. I took a drive on a very curvy back road. Doesn't sound like much, but the scenery was breath taking. That was very nice.
  4. QUOTE (ghostworks @ Aug 29 2011, 06:41 PM) QUOTE (Ancient Ways @ Aug 29 2011, 07:07 PM) QUOTE (ghostworks @ Aug 29 2011, 05:11 PM) ironically: there is no 'war' here as anyone who's been around for the last three years can attest, I will ultimately own this thread thanks for playing, though! biggest fish in smallest pond ever? I'm comparatively slim (and this is hardly a pond) you'll figure it out, though... won't you? Are you somebody?
  5. Wouldn't Spiral Circus be considered old skool PT as well?
  6. Royster has been the best yet. Harrison and Copeland, very good. Peart, standard solo that we all have heard.
  7. Did you ever want a Orbit Room T-Shirt, or an Orbit Room shot glass? Well, now you can! Check it out! http://www.theorbitstore.com/index.html
  8. Geddy Lee and Neil Peart have donated signed items to those recovering from the tornado that hit Joplin, Missouri earlier this year. In the Music Aid for Joplin auction event on August 24, 2011, Geddy donated an Orange CR50BXT bass amp, while Neil donated a complete set of signed Sabian cymbals. http://www.rushweb.net/2011/08/geddy-lee-a...ornado-victims/
  9. Try the wayback machine for Rush.com, http://www.internetarchive.org. I believe that's the URL
  10. QUOTE (1-0-0-1-0-0-1 @ Aug 24 2011, 03:10 PM) We could either close this and disperse these threads into Rush, or keep this section open a little while longer. The reason for keeping it open is simple -- you guys are still talking about the TM tour! Whaddaya think? Leave it up until 2014. That's what I would do.
  11. I'm just worried about California, Bay Area to be specific. We're due for a 8.0 plus, and it's overdue. All of this stress relief all over the world is bound to be putting pressure on the faults in CA. It's not a matter of if, it's a matter of when....
  12. Watch all the videos. You'll be glad you did!
  13. QUOTE (ColdFireYYZ @ Aug 22 2011, 07:20 PM) But Nickelback only wrote one song. I thought Nickleback wrote

  15. QUOTE (snowdog2112 @ Aug 20 2011, 01:15 PM) QUOTE (Draco @ Aug 20 2011, 01:38 PM) Geddy used to smoke for years also. Even though he quit (10 years of so now), it takes a toll on your voice. 10 years? You mean 30. He just said in that CNN interview not long ago that it was 1982 that he quit. Just watched the CNN that I was referring to, and I stand corrected.
  16. Here's a comparison of Geddy singing the same song in 2010. Not bad for a 57 year old.

  18. I started www.rushweb.net back 11 and a 1/2 years ago. That is how my message board, Counterparts or "CP" started really, though the rushweb.net site. The message board got so big, that I dropped my work on rushweb. Well, I brought it back. It will be like before, news and information. There's also my interview with Geddy in 2000 during the promotion for MFH, and the Donna Halper Rush Discover Story (2001). There's also the Toronto Tour Guide for Rush fans brought back, along with a new, upcoming feature called "A Soft Filter", where fans can write articles discussing how Rush has affected their listening choices, their lives, etc. I hope in the future to have more interviews with the guys from Rush. So yeah. Go check it out! http://www.rushweb.net

  22. My friend recently (last week Wedensday) went through double rotator cuff surgery. One was a full surgery to repair a full tear, and one was a scope. She went through the first surgery back in 2006, that didn't take. This time, they literally hooked the rotator cuff back together. First time in 10 years she is pain free in her shoulder. She's having a more difficult time with her other shoulder (the scope), but she's confident it will be fine. The advice I will give is to do what the PT and doctors say to get you healed. If that means surgery, follow the steps they will give you after the surgery. If it's just PT, do exactly what the therapist tells you to do.
