Green Day and NIN are the only one guaranteed to get in because of their popularity. Am i wrong? I'm not too familiar with NWA but I'm assuming they have something to do with the New World Order.

You can't necessarily become good at something through practice and perseverance alone (not saying it's impossible) but there is some initial skill or feel (not to mention drive) necessary to build on. Yes, you can learn to draw better than you currently do, but that doesn't mean you're going to be a fantastic artist no matter how much time you put into it. Same with all arts. Some people have a certain knack for some things while others don't. I had some interest in the drums once until I sat behind a drum kit. I felt completely lost and out of place, nothing felt right at all when I tried to play. I haven't looked back since. To say Neil is not a natural drummer is absurd. One can't reach those levels (one of the best drummers in the world) without some kind of innate ability, especially when learning on your own like he did without any formal training.

I don't understand the excitement over this by some. "Reboots" (or whatever) like this rarely work out well unless it's from a proven and accomplished director (like Batman Begins). This director doesn't have any track record. It's his second movie.

What does this have to do with Rush? ;)

If anyone from Rush really gave a shit about what people outside of our little click thought of them, I think their music may have sounded quite different. I'm sure Alex doesn't give a shit. And that's pretty much what I said. Did you miss the "I'm sure he'd be fine with that"?

People who aren't familar with Alex may come away from that thinking he's an idiot, an asshole, or both. I'm sure he'd be fine with that.

Let me rephrase: The characters seem wooden and have no personality (or just boring actors) You can't say that about Goldblum, Dern, and Attenborough.

And the characters seem stock.

It's just so obviously cgi. It does not look good.

So how easy is it to upset Star Wars "fanbois"? I honestly dont care that another Star Wars movie is coming. If it's good that's cool. If not, oh well. The series reached it's peak 30 years ago. There's no changing that.

I'm editing two projects right now, one is intended for Youtube and another for Kickstarter and there is already a few issues regarding permission and rights regarding of some the content and I'm discussing these issues with my clients for both of these projects. Trust me, I know a few things about this stuff. You can't just take and use anything you want at your own whim, especially if it's for self-promotion or if there is some sort of monetary gain being sought.

"They don't actually care about copy rights." Yes, they do. Actually it's a big issue on Youtube. Videos are pulled all the time. Copyright is a big issue on Youtube. I actively do work for people and Youtube videos are sometimes part of it and I have encountered these issues many times. Not to mention it's flat out disrespectful for a cover band to use Rush's actual album tracks to promote themselves. You may not think it's a big deal but it is.

It didn't excite nor repulse. I'm just indifferent toward it. I hope the next ones better. The movie is going to be a success (finacially) regardless. It was a crap teaser.

The only thing I'm nitpicking is that it's a weak, uncreative, and unexciting teaser.
