QUOTE (treeduck @ Nov 19 2006, 01:24 PM) QUOTE (Batman @ Nov 19 2006, 11:40 AM) QUOTE (JohnnyBlaze @ Nov 18 2006, 10:09 PM) QUOTE (treeduck @ Nov 19 2006, 04:37 AM) I have to say I'm disappointed with Topher Grace as the guy who becomes Venom. I mean Brock was a huge body-building nutcase, nothing like the waif-like Grace. The point was that the alien costume, after being fused with Peter Parker and consequently loaded with his spider powers, found a new host, the steroid-popping Brock and this made the suit all the more powerful using his stronger body and demented mentality, alongside the alien-cloned spider powers... The Brock character in the flick might be drastically different from the comics so Topher might not be a bad choice after all. It depends on the movie's version eh? Hell, I'm still having some issues with Spidey's organic webbing so I'm thinking that I can 'allow' Topher to be Brock. Yeah they took the Scientist out of Spidey like they took the Detective out of Batman. Hollywood likes to keep things simple because it believes most of it's popcorn-eating bums on seats like it that way; they can't think and eat popcorn at the same time goes the movie producer's conventional wisdom... Sadly too true

I love The Hobbit more then the other three. I hope Jackson and studio can come to an understanding on this. I don't think anyone else would do it justice.

I just figured out last sunday that I can now get over the air DTV. However, I am having trouble keeping the signal??????? I have tried three different antennas and can get some very good but other come in for a minute or two then nothing.????? Anyone have any advice? Do you have either cable or satellite for your normal TV? Some cable providers (like mine) offer lots of HD programming and will give you an HD converter box for a few more bucks a month. Don't know much about satellite HD programming. I have Direct tv and looks Great on the new set. But I don't pay for local channels they only offer 6 and I can get 11 not counting PBS so I don't want to spend the $ on less channels. But I may have to go that way the difference is unbelievable It's tough to watch "normal" TV after seeing HD, isn't it? Yes it is! Has anyone heard the rumor that DirecTV will be carrying 160 or so HD channels beginning next year? If that's the case, then goodbye Time Warner! That is going to be sweet! I know I love it. And in my area it's cheaper then Cable. I don't lose the signal that often. Plus The Sunday Ticket!!!!!!!! All NFL games gotta love it.

QUOTE (Arndrake @ Nov 15 2006, 04:55 PM) QUOTE (Batman @ Nov 15 2006, 02:12 PM)Anyone still watching this. I am loving the new doctor. Trying to, although finding the time is difficult. I did think Eccleston's Doctor was interesting, kind of a rebel. Tennant's Doctor kind of hearkens back to the older ones, although he kind of comes across like Davison's version. I think thats why I like him. Reminds me of watching it on PBS when I was a Kid.

QUOTE (thestand @ Nov 10 2006, 10:20 PM) Someone tell me I'm not crazy and reconfirm that there's a third villain in this. All of the pre-production info I got said- Green Goblin 2 Sandman Venom Topher Grace was in the trailer, but never became Venom. I'm hoping that's a twist they saved for the movie. I have heard that Vemon doesnt really come in till the end. The other major Villian is the black suit( the way it takes over Spiderman).

If they stick to the same tempo as the last two should be great! Wouldn't it be nice to have a Superhero Trilogy that doesn't end up sucking?
