  1. Thanks. I saw this pic, and a few others... I was sort of thinking those red finger things on top stuck out and there looks to be some sort of "plexiglass" between those. ??? But no doubt... ponchos are being brought!!
  2. Has anyone sat super close to the stage at the Austin 360 Amphitheater? I have second row seats (thank you very much) in front of Alex and there is an 80% chance of rain (currently... it changes daily). Any chance the roof that covers the stage sticks out far enough to benefit the folks near the front? Don't get me wrong, I have a poncho and it could be a Cat 5 hurricane, and I still would stand for every single note, but I am just curious... 3 more days!!! Thx!
  3. You're probably locked out for hitting refresh too many times or using two computers from the same IP. Happened to me for the first time today. Lasts 24 hours. Exactly what happened... :(
  4. HOW?!?! Just keep hammering "search again"?!
  5. I can't get onto ticketmaster on any device.... I think all gthe RUSH fans killed them.... :)
  6. go to ... http://www.ticketmaster.com/rush-r40-live-tour-2015-austin-texas-05-16-2015/event/3A004D91E20352E2?tm_link=edp_onsale&bba=1 RUSH2015 is the password
  7. Been clicking "search again" on 2 computers and 2 ipads for an hour....
  8. BUMP..... Now that we are getting closer to the show date..... Any SA folks ever do this?
  9. Anyone ever take a taxi to and (more importantly) from a concert at AT&T center in San Antonio? For the Nov. 30 show, we are staying downtown on the riverwalk and thought taking a cab and not dealing with parking, driving after a few $6 beers, etc. would be a good idea.... Wondering what it is like to try to get a cab after the show.... Thanks!
  10. I was wondering if people agreed with something i have been thinking with all the complaining about the synth era stuff being played.... In my experience, the live versions of these songs are heavier than the album version. I, like many people here, like the 70s era best, but I have all their albums and like pretty much everything. But, I really LOVE almost everything live. I think that may be because it sounds heavier in concert, and there is less difference between the old and the new in the live setting. Thoughts? I have not seen this tour yet. I will see then in San Antonio all the way near the end (11/30), but forget whether you like or dislike the set list, how does it sound?
  11. QUOTE (Rushman14 @ Sep 12 2012, 06:47 PM) shouldnt Headlong Flight and 7COG be swapped? they are out of order. I think it is just becasue it replaces wish them well..... Halo Effect is also out of order, but.... evidently, there is a drum solo in headlong flight. following that, alex has a solo as well and halo effect is mellow. I am guessing Neil is tired and needs a break...
  12. All this "is the setlist good or bad?" stuff is really unproductive. Mathematically, it can NEVER be good enough for most peopel. You are getting 25 songs out of approximately 170 that are on their 19 studio albums (I dont count Feedback), and you know that 8-10 are going to be from CA. The odds are you will not get everything you want. So sit back and enjoy the fact that these guys are still cranking it out!!!!
  13. QUOTE (LaPirata2 @ Sep 7 2012, 09:56 PM) I don't know who "Tony R" is but he might as well go to the FBI right now and enter the witness protection program...
  14. Feels like something is missing.... But I'm not sure why. I have no real expectations.
  15. There is no way there is a third set. Another 10 songs or so!?!? Then an encore!?! No way.... I predict 2 more songs then the encore of 2 songs.
  16. QUOTE (Alchemical @ Sep 7 2012, 08:39 PM) HEADLONG FLIGHT!!! this song has no choice but to be AWESOME live!!!!
  17. QUOTE (Sir Lerxst @ Sep 7 2012, 12:34 PM)I heard that they are going to play a song tonight. I don't know which one, I just know that it's a song.
  18. The setup is the traditional south stage setup, not the half arena that they had the last time they were in Austin. They have already sold tickets with reserved seats, so they aren't changing the layout, unless they reissue all the tickets.... Regarding size of the arena, it is not small. I think it seats over 18,000 for basketball. The upper deck is high - not football stadium high, but it is a fairly large basketball arena.
  19. QUOTE (Gary2112 @ Jan 20 2011, 11:17 PM) Yeah i had three price options, the first two where sold out. But hey, at least i'm in the same room as !! I just wanted to know and see if i wasn't like too far off towards the side of the stage, you know what i mean? you are pretty far to the side (i got section 36, but a little higher than you). when I saw Rush in SA last year at AT&T center, I was also very far to the side (about like your tickets), and I really liked it. Its was an interesting perspective and it was cool to look back out at the crowd when the lights from the stage would blast back out at the audience. You can also see soem of the happenings behind the stage, which is cool, like when Geddy, Alex, and Neil are sneaking on and off stage at the beginning and end. to me, any seat not in the mezaanaine is a good seat! hell, ANY seat at a Rush concert is awesome!
  20. QUOTE (01GT Eibach @ Dec 6 2010, 01:34 PM) I saw Rush on the S&A tour in Austin. Evidently that was their first visit EVER to Austin. It was in the Frank Erwin Center but with the much smaller "theater configuration". I have seen a bunch of concerts there, and Rush was the only one in this smaller configuration (was not sold out, either). It is particularly nice as makes it a much smaller venue as they use only half the arena, essentially. This makes every seat an excellent vantage point. When I saw the current TMT tour here in Pittsburgh, PA, it was the normal "entire arena" configuration with a LOT more people than when in Austin on S&A. If your Austin gig again utilizes the "theater configuration", make sure you go. It is an AWESOME way to experience Rush. I promise you that. I clicked on the seat configuration online, and it is NOT showing the theater setup. It is showing the traditional setup with the stage in the south end. Of course, the chart may be wrong, or it may be possible that they expect to fill the place more than last time. Not sure why... they do seem to be on a popularity high right now. Maybe they also are not going to go to Dallas or Houston this go around, and they are expecting road trippers... who knows. I saw Rush at AT&T center in San Antonio last year with the normal stage setup (at one end of the arena) and it was cranking. I say go, no matter what the seating arrangement is!
  21. Just to fill everyone in on the latest developments here.... this gets even better. The Rush folks sent me an email saying they got my 2 shirts I sent back and mentioned that I now have a CREDIT of $24 since the shirts I bought at the concert were more expensive than the ones I decided to replace them with. Holy cow! I figured they would just swap them. So, instead of taking the credit, I decided to get myself the Vintage 2112 tour shirt with the concert dates on the back, since that was the first Rush concert I saw - in Dallas when I was 9! That is pretty sweet!
  22. I just wanted to give some props to rushbackstage.com.... I went to the San Antonio show last night (awesome!) and after waiting in the mob of people to buy shirts, I bought a couple shirts for my boys. Of course, they had only small shirts in the Moving Pictures style shirt (the $50 shirt!) so that's what I got. It is a little big for one of them and way too big for the other, plus my wife wisely points out to me this morning that they probably can't wear them to school due to the naked man on the shirt (not to mention the guy burning at the stake under a cross on one the pictures!). So, now I am thinking there is $100 down the tubes... ...not so fast! I contact rushbackstage.com, tell them the story, and they tell me I can send the shirts to them and get another couple shirts. I just pay for shipping. Very cool!!! I thought I was going to be hosed for sure. Just thought I would share and encourage people to get their rush gear at that site.
