    being a big fan of both Lost and the Dark Tower saga (my all time favorite books) i can see it being true King is a fan of Lost, and JJ Abrhams is a fan of Kings real life motives may be in there, but for the sake of it being a fairly popular television series, i doubt they'll let it end on a downer like the Dark Tower books (only if you don't look into it hard enough)
