  1. QUOTE (Mrs. Huck Rogers @ Jul 12 2007, 10:26 AM)What kind of shit do you smoke man? Probably something like this.... http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v249/RiskyRhonda/FEB202007017.jpg
  2. QUOTE (Jack Aubrey @ Jul 12 2007, 09:43 AM)Thanks, gentlemen. Thanks for detailing the picture guidelines in this forum. Although "tasteful" is a relative term, I get the point. To me this animation wasn't "distasteful", but others may have a different opinion. Again, I apologize to anyone I might have offended. I have no idea who this is, perhaps she is in movies or on TV... just thought she belonged in a topic titled "hottest women!"
  3. QUOTE (Canadica @ Jul 11 2007, 10:03 PM)There's people flying in from all over North America... I'm SOOOOO stoked man!!! I, for one, appreciate your efforts. Unfortunately, here in the States, we're always going to have a small but vocal "moral majority" (minority is actually the correct term) who want to control other people's lives. They really need to mind their own business.
  4. QUOTE (paganoman @ Jul 11 2007, 07:09 PM) QUOTE (reani14 @ Jul 11 2007, 12:04 AM) Another album cover which is clearly visable in the Cars Shake it up.... Let's not overlook the enormous Streisand display. No doubt. I've got to watch this movie again soon... it's been too long.

Roadstar Silverado 1600 V-Twin. I'm not addicted to powerful machines. Really... it's... not an... obsession.... You should get a paint job on the bike and really make us Eh, that would be cool, but it has a beautiful color right now. We call her "Deep Purple" "Highway Star"
  7. QUOTE (paganoman @ Jul 11 2007, 04:18 PM) Kind words, my friend. Thanks! I still want a bike. Same to you.... friend. Yeah, it is great to be able to jump on the bike and go whenever the mood hits you. I would really like to tour for a few weeks kinda like Neil... hitting the backroads, finding "Americana" and staying in out of the way places. Maybe someday....
  8. QUOTE (Canadica @ Jul 1 2007, 03:25 AM)Purple Widow: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v249/RiskyRhonda/FEB202007017.jpg Holy mother of God!! Now THAT is what I call magnificent! "Is that a joint, man? It looks like a quarter-pounder ... Is it heavy shit, man? Will it blow me a-WAY? I was smokin' since I was born, man. I can smoke anything, man. I smoked that Michouacan, Acapulco Gold, I even smoked that tied stick. You know, that stuff tied to a stick. That didn't do nothin' to me. I could probably smoke this whole joint and walk away, man. Will be no problem at all ..."

  18. QUOTE (Digital Man @ Jul 6 2007, 06:04 PM)"And tired" I said. I don't remember anything that happened that day........ Kudos to anyone that knows who said that. If memory serves correctly, I think that was a bit by Sinbad.
  19. QUOTE (Weatherman2112 @ Jun 23 2007, 06:16 PM)I can't help but laugh. In the 70s in Chicago, I actually saw people yelling and selling like hot dog vendors, only they yelled "pot, shrooms, blotter, microdot". It was amazing...right in front of the police! As long as nobody was getting hurt, they let it go. Same when I went to those early shows... as long as no one got out of hand, security just looked the other way. Too bad we don't have the same environment today, but I understand that parents are taking their kids now and you hardly ever saw that back at the early shows. We WERE the kids!! I say if it is an outdoor show, WTF...? It's not like the smoke is going to linger... let it go.
  20. QUOTE (moonriver @ Jun 21 2007, 09:38 PM) First rock show ever was Rush, 81, Charlotte, NC when I was 14. I thought of Rush as a "serious" band with very serious themes. The opening song before they came on was the theme to The Three Stooges... I was devastated for a few moments and then treated to the most fun and adventure a kid should ever be allowed to have. In 83, again in Charlotte, I had the nerve to knock on the door of their bus and give someone, anyone a homemade cassette tape of my songs and guitar work. A very annoyed looking skinny dude opened the door and patiently listened to my rambling and accepted my tape... said he would try and listen to it. He then closed the door to the bus. I walked away and sat down nearby hoping to see the guys in the band exit for the coliseum. Five minutes later the door opened and the skinny dude looked around and spotted me sitting by the curve. He came over and sat down beside me and told me he had listened to the tape and then said, "... the guys listened to the tape as well and and enjoyed what they heard and asked me to tell you to keep it up and keep writing your own material." He gave me a t-shirt and told me to enjoy the show. During the Presto tour we saw the band play the night of Alex's birthday and a stripper was just off stage at the beginning of the first set shaking her boobs in Alex's direction. He smiled through at least four songs and Neil and Geddy laughed their asses off until she left. My Rush stories. Wow!! Great stories!
  21. QUOTE (darrenhigh @ Jun 20 2007, 02:25 PM)The RUSH show that almost wasn't: Thanks for sharing this story. These are the kinds of stories that I find it a joy to read. Especially one as descriptive as this... it almost brings you into that place and time. Wonderful stories everyone. Keep 'em coming!
  22. QUOTE (tupelobarchetta @ Jun 19 2007, 05:35 PM)I have to share my experiences .... Great stories!! Us old guys will be sitting around years from now saying... (in my best old man voice) "Aye.... do ya remember when we went to that show in the 70's..?"
  23. QUOTE (nobodys hero @ Jun 19 2007, 05:04 PM)Having my girlfriends brother sneak us into our first Rush shows EVER on 3/5/76 at The Randhurst Ice Arena in Illinois. It was Rush and Kansas. Those days were so cool because you were right there by the stage. Awesome story!! What a great show too. Kansas was good back then, and with Rush... nice free show there man! Ah, to be young and carefree again....
  24. QUOTE (Fridge @ Jun 19 2007, 12:50 AM)Sorry, can't access this... Sorry to hear you cannot access it to download. I'm not sure where this recording is from....? I found it on Limewire. Anyone else recognize this recording?? Sounds exactly like what Fridge was describing in his post.
  25. QUOTE (Fridge @ Jun 17 2007, 12:36 PM)Geddy decides to try a bit of crowd control and quite politely asks the crowd to move back. Being totally ignored, he got a little ratty, and it showed in the tone of his voice. As one, there was this massed shout of "f**k off you big nosed bastard!". I swear it was uncanny, as if it had been rehearsed. I think I found a recording of the concert you described. Is this the one....? http://www.megaupload.com/?d=62MSRDVQ I didn't hear the crowd say anything back but maybe this isn't the one... or it just wasn't audible in this recording.
