  1. Guess I fit into the "norm" on here: 36-45 Years Old, Male [ 225 ] [34.51%] "Everybody needs to deviate from the norm"
  2. Most of you have probably already seen this before, but thought I would post it for those who haven't. It's the tribute to Rush computer animation of Neil playing YYZ. Caution, the file is 40MB+ in size and will take awhile to download, but really an amazing animation and worth the wait if you've never seen it. http://s205.photobucket.com/albums/bb305/E...nt=772e872c.flv
  3. 1. At age 47, the Rolling Stones' bassist, Bill Wyman, began a relationship with 13-year old Mandy Smith, with her mother's blessing. Six years later, they were married, but the marriage only lasted a year. Not long after, Bill's 30-year-old son Stephen married Mandy's mother, age 46. That made Stephen a stepfather to his former stepmother. If Bill and Mandy had remained married, Stephen would have been his father's father-in-law and his own grandpa. 2. Most toilets flush in E flat. 3. "Mr. Mojo Risin" is an anagram for Jim Morrison.
  4. Great list! Thanks for putting this together. Love the version of Leave That Thing Alone
  5. QUOTE (sullysue @ Jul 13 2007, 10:35 PM)We DO rock! Neil said so. p.s. "cock rock." I would highly recommend the book. I've read it through once and am on my 2nd round. My wife and I will be in the 2nd row for the KC show... maybe she'll catch his eye with her dancing, air-drumming, etc...??
  6. I just read this passage in Roadshow and thought it was worth posting here. Sorry if this has been discussed elsewhere, searched and didn't find anything. Based on what Neil writes below, I would think more women would try to get close to the stage and put on a good show for him. Sounds like he would appreciate it. "For reasons I have never understod, our audience has always been predominantly male, 90 percent or more. Some speculate that this gender divide is becaue our music is "aggressive," or because it is technical, and in the '70s, a fatuous record company executive once even referred to our music as "cock rock." It is a mystery to me, although it does seem that the female fans we do have often understand our music in the deepest possible way, appreciating not only its technicality, but its passion, too. They are also often more sensitive to the lyrics - which naturally pleases their author! Perhaps because of their scarcity, I always loved to see females in the audience singing along, or air-drumming, or even dancing. However, given the complexity and constant changes in our music, even their dancing had to be absorbed in the music - no mindless twitching to a metronomic beat. In our song "Force Ten," I had expressed my appreciation for the absorption, "Cool and remote like dancing girls, in the heat of the beat and the lights."
  7. QUOTE (ladirushfan80 @ Jul 13 2007, 02:42 PM) Uh... she's carrying a fish in her jacket.

  10. QUOTE (liquidcrystalcompass @ Jul 12 2007, 02:55 PM)Oh the attitude................ Mike Damone: I mean don't just walk in. You move across the room. And you don't talk to her. You use your face. You use your body. You use everything. That's what I do. I mean I just send out this vibe and I have personally found that women do respond. I mean, something happens. Mark Ratner: Well, naturally something happens. I mean, you put the vibe out to 30 million chicks, something is gonna happen. Mike Damone: That's the idea, Rat. That's the attitude. Mark Ratner: The attitude? Mike Damone: Yeah! The attitude dictates that you don't care whether she comes, stays, lays, or prays. I mean whatever happens, your toes are still tappin'. Now when you got that, then you have the attitude. Spot on topic....
  11. QUOTE (Mrs. Huck Rogers @ Jul 12 2007, 10:26 AM)What kind of shit do you smoke man? Probably something like this.... http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v249/RiskyRhonda/FEB202007017.jpg
  12. QUOTE (Jack Aubrey @ Jul 12 2007, 09:43 AM)Thanks, gentlemen. Thanks for detailing the picture guidelines in this forum. Although "tasteful" is a relative term, I get the point. To me this animation wasn't "distasteful", but others may have a different opinion. Again, I apologize to anyone I might have offended. I have no idea who this is, perhaps she is in movies or on TV... just thought she belonged in a topic titled "hottest women!"
  13. QUOTE (Canadica @ Jul 11 2007, 10:03 PM)There's people flying in from all over North America... I'm SOOOOO stoked man!!! I, for one, appreciate your efforts. Unfortunately, here in the States, we're always going to have a small but vocal "moral majority" (minority is actually the correct term) who want to control other people's lives. They really need to mind their own business.

  17. QUOTE (paganoman @ Jul 11 2007, 04:18 PM) Kind words, my friend. Thanks! I still want a bike. Same to you.... friend. Yeah, it is great to be able to jump on the bike and go whenever the mood hits you. I would really like to tour for a few weeks kinda like Neil... hitting the backroads, finding "Americana" and staying in out of the way places. Maybe someday....
