Well they're all going to have some learning curve. There are no make my logo one button applications. And if there were the logos they produced would probably suck. Try this: Inkspace It's free and you can probably find some tutorials on youtube. Again logo design is best in a vector based application. Gimp is raster based like photoshop.

Actually Illustrator is bettor for logos being as it is vector as opposed to Photoshops raster graphics.

You should put on a clear cover over your plate and stick the ? to that. Or maybe some little springy piece that is attached to the license plate frame. You haven't actually altered the plate now have you?

I had to work on both the 166 pakard bell and that Toshiba laptop back in the day and they were blazing fast for the time.
