  1. Juno 7.5/10 Heard this movie was going to be "amazing." I personally didn't think it was as good as it was made out to be. But I still thought it was a entertaining movie.
  2. I hated all three of the first movies. So I won't see this one.
  3. I picked five good movies, including The Happening. The Sixth Sense, Signs, The Village, The Happening, and Unbreakable where all great movies. I don't know about Lady In The Water. I don't get why their is a big majority of people who detest his movies, anyone care to elaborate why?
  4. Don't know if their is a thread already for this. Well I watched today: The Happening: Really enjoyed it, loved the story 8.5/10 Messiah Of Evil: Some old zombie movie, sketchy plot, cool atmosphere 4.5/10
  5. I saw it today and I thought it was great. The whole "first R rated movie" was kinda dumb to promote since their was just a few death scenes that weren't all that bad. Much better then his last movie.
  6. The Happening is out in theaters tommorow. Anyone gonna go and see it? It looks awesome! http://www.teizomatsumoto.com/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/2007/12/hr_the_happening_poster1.jpg
  7. I'll be passing on this one also. Same with that new Mike Meyers movie.
  8. QUOTE (priest_of_syrinx @ Jun 6 2008, 07:39 PM) Pink Floyd - A Saucerful of Secrets Porcupine Tree - Stupid Dream (special edition) Nice dp, you just kinda semi Rick Rolled me! Stupid Dream is sweet.
  9. QUOTE (Gompers @ Jun 5 2008, 03:00 PM) QUOTE (RUSHHEAD666 @ Jun 5 2008, 03:45 PM) Porupine Tree is the greatest band on the earth. I mean the second greatest band on earth. Don't get me wrong, I would choose an "Evening With Rush" over an opener, but hey, let's say that in a few years the boys want to trim down some time on their set list because of their age. Wouldn't it be cool to have Porcupine Tree open for RUSH? Then again in a few years PT will probably be too big to open for RUSH. My favorite opener of all time was when PRIMUS opened for RUSH on the "ROLL THE BONES" TOUR! Oh and on another PT note I want to add that I was totally pumped for Gavin Harrison when he won BEST PROGRESIVE DRUMMER in MODERN DRUMMER last year! Thank goodness that Mike Portnoy lost. I would take Gavin over Mike any day. JMO! Harrison has been severely under-rated for way too long. I picked up his DVD and his mastery of the poly-rhythm is second to none, in my eyes. Gavin Harrison has been getting a lot more recognition from the drumming community lately, especially Modern Drummer. I think he is one of the headliners of the 2008 Modern Drummer Festival. In my eyes, Gavin will always be a better drummer then Mike Portnoy. But don't get me wrong, MP isn't a bad drummer. He's just not creative. I feel like I'm listening to the same thing by him every album.
  10. Porcupine Tree - On A Sunday Of Life Scandal - The Warrior Coming in the mail.
  11. QUOTE (Gompers @ May 24 2008, 10:08 AM) QUOTE (deadwing2112 @ May 23 2008, 09:44 PM) Any recommendations on what pt album I should buy next? I have the latest 3 and Up The Downstair. Right now I'm leaning towards On A Sunday In Life... Well if you like Up the Downstair, then get more early stuff. I have a lot of trouble getting into the early music. I enjoyed Up The Downstair a lot. I think I like it as a whole better then Fear Of A Blank Planet.

  14. QUOTE (Soni @ May 19 2008, 10:54 AM) QUOTE (Did Lee Squat? @ May 19 2008, 12:04 AM) OK I just bought Fear of a Blank Planet (my first PT album) the other day on a whim and after several listens I'm pretty dang impressed. I've only got one question: Are all of PT's albums as dark and gloomy as FOABP? It just ain't a very happy album and I find it a bit depressing. well yes, you have some "happy" songs on Deadwing, Stupid Dream and, Lightbulb Sun, but not buch. (Great album huh? Most of them probably are all pretty depressing. Steven Wilson said he finds gloomy, depressing songs to be the most beautiful. I have been on a big PT binge lately. Listening to In Absentia right now. ps. Any rumors or word on a new album yet?
  15. Panic at the disco is just a fad.

  17. I played the end of Mystery Train backwards and Mike Portnoy yells, "I have blisters on my pen!s."

  20. QUOTE (fledgehog @ Apr 6 2008, 12:42 AM) QUOTE (deadwing2112 @ Apr 5 2008, 10:34 PM) QUOTE (fledgehog @ Apr 5 2008, 04:29 PM) If there was really a God he would make Neal rejoin Spock's Beard so they could stop sucking. You don't like any of the post neil albums? What do you think of their latest? The self-titled? There were some good moments, but overall it wasn't really memorable at all. And for the record, the chorus of They Know We Know has to be the lamest thing to come from Spock's Beard. Probably the weakest point on that album for me. Well along with Is This Love?

  22. QUOTE (metaldad @ Apr 5 2008, 01:36 PM) QUOTE (tick @ Apr 4 2008, 03:16 PM) I absolutely love Transatlantic and would kill for them to reunite. Portnoy has said, "the ball is in Neils court to do a reunion" i would absolutely be in music heaven if they ever deside to do it again. that would be great but don't hold your breath, morse found god and that's all he write's about now. we can wish I don't see why he could do both. Its not like transatlantic lyrics are about death and satan.
