  1. QUOTE (blonde77th @ Feb 7 2007, 11:21 AM) QUOTE (owlswing @ Feb 7 2007, 10:15 AM) QUOTE (Cygnus @ Feb 7 2007, 09:54 AM) http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v703/RushForum/c9e98efe6ca2459af695263323cc75f28e3.jpg What else can be said Not a thing Dude - JUST POINT AT THE BOX! It will save your life.
  2. Memo to everyone in Procurement: We've sat down and talked this over, and we feel that you're old enough to know the truth. There is no Toner Fairy. When the printer runs out of toner, somebody has to place a call to the nice man in Print Services, who will come and put more toner in the printer. Putting an "Out Of Order" sign on the printer, while helpful, does not let that nice man know that he needs to come and fix the printer. if you are not sure how to contact the nice printer man, please ask a secretary, who knows how to get hold of him. Yes, this may be a shock to you, but as you get older, you will realize that we all have the power to be the Toner Fairy, each and every one of us. Maddy
  3. QUOTE (deadwing2112 @ Feb 9 2007, 06:05 PM) QUOTE (Finbar @ Jan 25 2007, 03:19 PM) - You always send Rush songs to your friends on MSN, especially if they've told you they don't like Rush. I've done that many times. I think I sent a kid 2112 once. You want to be really evil? Set "2112" as someone's default sound to everything the computer does - then disable the soundcard. Can you say slowdown?
  4. *Hugs* That's always so hard, losing a friend. RIP, Odie.
  5. QUOTE (paganoman @ Feb 9 2007, 12:45 PM) btw: Isn't it something worth celebrating that we have the works of BOTH John Bonham AND Neil Peart to enjoy? That's a much better thing to ponder, than who's "better".
  6. Their styles are too different to really compare. Neil is very technical and precise in his approach, I think, and Bonzo was totally intuitive and - organic is the word I want to use. His approach was much more instinctive. And given the fact that Rush would be in the same position Led Zep was if, Goddess forbid, they lost Neil, I'd say they're pretty much equals.
  7. They're both so much in their own league that it's hard to compare them, I think.

    Men!

QUOTE (Daylin @ Feb 3 2007, 03:31 PM) QUOTE (owlswing @ Feb 3 2007, 10:55 AM) WHY MEN AREN'T SECRETARIES ... > > Husband's note on refrigerator for wife: > > Someone from the Gyna Colleges called. > They said the Pabst beer is normal. > I didn't know you liked beer. Good one
  9. It's up to a scorching 20F today - time to break out the shorts! Scorching compared with 10F for a "high" yesterday with wind chills to -25F) At least today it took about five minutes before my face felt like it was freezing off. I wish it would warm up - or at least the relative humidity would get above 5%. I can't even walk across the carpet and touch a metal drawer handle without getting static shocked. And forget trying to get out of my car. I get out, go to shut the door and ZAP! Tased and confused... I don't know which one builds up more of a charge - my wool coat with the acetate lining or the long leather coat I have with the silk lining. Either way, I'm fried... Edited because I can't type...

    Ed Wood

Love the movie... And I was born in Ed Wood's hometown, BTW.
  11. There's a remastered copy, with a red cover. Look for that one. I think the sound quality is better on it.
  12. QUOTE (rushgoober @ Jan 31 2007, 12:47 PM) http://i45.photobucket.com/albums/f72/rushgoober5/rushgoober6/explorer2.jpg http://i45.photobucket.com/albums/f72/rushgoober5/rushgoober6/explorer.jpg Very cute... I thought mine was another on the "undoable" ones.
  13. QUOTE (chaotica @ Jan 30 2007, 09:29 PM) I've only got a few from this whole thread... I suck at this one I've only gotten a couple, too - I'm about as sharp as your average basketball sometimes. *Looks in vain for some kind of bouncing-ball smiley*
  14. And that makes me very happy, too, that everything's going well - for you and your dad.

QUOTE (tick @ Jan 26 2007, 10:47 AM) http://fragileindustries.typepad.com/fragile_industries/images/phil_spector.jpg I don't know what that is, but I think we need to stop it before it spreads... (Crap, and i though I was having a bad hair day. At least mine's relatively flat - although granted, right now that's part of the problem.)

  17. I think she's real - not sure about her "accessories," though.
  18. Led Zeppelin - no question there. Edit - yeah, I think everyone pretty much expected that....
  19. He's got this sort of "Alex, this is the LAST time I ever let you set me up on a blind date!" look....
  20. Hey, some lovely pics to come back home to!
