  1. QUOTE (King Rygar @ Nov 5 2004, 11:51 AM)I think the earliest album I have right now is 2112, which I really like so I can't really truly say I don't like ALL the old stuff. I don't own Hemisheres YET, it and Power Windows are the last of the few I don't have yet! (Go ahead, hurt me) I don't even have a record player right now, but I had to get a sealed copy of Grace Under Pressure on LP, that's how nuts I am. I like to think back to when I thought all Rush had was Tom Sawyer and that damned Trees song. Wow, what I gold mine I was missing! Nothing really touches me like Rush stuff anymore, they have spoiled me! Nice to meet all you cool folk! Now I can finally vent! Dude, you have no idea how envious I am on you, in a way. One of my saddest days was the day I went out and bought the COS cd. Because it was the last of the collection. I didn't have that new and 'yet to be discovered' album as close as the nearest record store anymore. After that - I had to wait like everybody else for the next Rush release in order to hear something NEW. Not to dispair though. Even as of this morning as I was listening to Roll The Bones live from Different Stages I heard a drum fill I never heard before and it was the greatest thing!! The discoveries will never end.
  2. Yikes - I guess things got held up after all. Sorry Quyn but I'll take that turn to keep things moving. Here my quote: "I'll take care of the beef, you take care of the ham."

    APOD

I must admit.... I don't know a damn thing about astronomy. But these pictures are awesome. So much amazing power out there that does not need a spec of intervention. And here we sit staring at plastic and scratching ourselves. Really puts it into perspective. Thanks for sharing these.
  4. I'll happily pass my turn over to Quyn. I have no idea what I'd post and I don't want to hold everybody up.
  5. QUOTE (kazzman @ Nov 4 2004, 04:21 PM) Ok, fine another hint. The shows creators have a new show debuting in January/February called "American Dad" Would it be The Family Guy?
  6. QUOTE (1-0-0-1-0-0-1 @ Nov 4 2004, 09:01 AM) QUOTE (BSG @ Nov 4 2004, 07:10 AM) Alright, as discussed with Jack, a new day in the movie quote game brings a new quote from the same movie... So, the new rule is we have to provide a new quote every day until somebody solves it? Some movies don't have a lot of good quotes, but I think it's worth a try. I put up two quotes and a bunch of hints with that last one. I like this new rule. BSG is correct and I'll wait for Jack's official note. One question.... If there are no guesses from one day to the next, is a new quote still necessary, or can we at least wait for a someone to take a shot at it? Thanks, GP
  7. QUOTE (King Rygar @ Nov 3 2004, 01:47 PM)Every Rush album is like a book to me, the more I read, the better it gets. RR - pardon my forwardness, but I think King Rygar just gave you the Rush Forum's quote of the year!! This should be bannered on every page. I absolutely love this!!
  8. QUOTE (RushRevisited @ Nov 3 2004, 12:04 PM) Absolutely amazing... I still cannot express how happy I am they brought out Between the Wheels for this tour.... I hope Afterimage makes its way into the setlist in the future too Aw man - when those keyboards started.... I nearly jumped out of my skin. What a highlight of the R30 show. What a great song - what a great album!! Afterimage would be an awesome song to hear live. I wonder if Neil would be ok with it, though. It's amazing how a song he wrote in the early 80's would have such a connection to his personal life many years down the road.
  9. QUOTE (King Rygar @ Nov 3 2004, 11:11 AM) Sorry to break the mood, but I voted for Grace Under Pressure. There are others that I like ALMOST as much, but the first time I popped it in, it had me! Now, it and Hold Your Fire are visited much. But I can't listen to much of the really older stuff anymore, don't know why! Just keep at it. Does not matter which album you're not into... little by little it all comes together and you somehow hear or feel something you NEVER did the other times. I've had albums that instantly exploded to me, and others that took a very long time for me to accept. COS is the biggest on the of list of ones I resisted. Even GUP took a while for me. I never heard GUP until the early 90's when the 80's sound was OUT. It was hard for me to take GUP seriously. Now it's one of my favorites. You should be proud of your vote for GUP. It is an AMAZING album.
  10. OH THANK THE LORD!!! BSG WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN????? Good job to both of you!!
  11. QUOTE (killermeat @ Nov 1 2004, 08:43 PM) what is the name of the song with the lyrics goining something like this, open the airwaves and crack open life this has been bothering me for years that i cant remember the name of the song Hey welcome to the board. Invisible airwaves Crackle with life Bright antennae bristle With the energy I believe that is the lyric you're thinking about. It's from The Spirit Of Radio - opening track of the Permanent Waves album. That sound about right?
  12. He's in it????? Oh man.... Yeah my wife will like that, too!
  13. She can just show up and sit there for 90 minutes... and it will still be worth the price of my ticket. JG is the hottest thing there is . My wife laughs at me at how into her I am.
  14. QUOTE (madra sneachta @ Oct 29 2004, 04:49 AM)From the off, I will acknowledge that most people think this is a pile of poo, but I got a kick out of Halloween 3 - The Season of the Witch It's ludicrous, overblown, has no Michael Myers in it, but is very very funny, and has the ricicously catchy song "Three more days to Halloween, Silver Shamrock" Horror - No Comedy - Yes Or is it just my deranged sense of humour?? Happy Happy Halloween
  15. I'm with Slaine on this. The more a movie forces your imagination to scare you, the better. The Haunting is one of the best!! In a dfferent thread, I recommended The Changeling which is much like The Haunting. Just a really good ghost story.
  16. QUOTE (Rolinda Bonz @ Oct 28 2004, 09:19 PM) QUOTE (Digital Man @ Oct 28 2004, 12:11 PM) Here's the next one: http://www.supposedlysane.com/shutterbug/archives/darksky3819.JPG Force Ten Look in to the eye of the storm Oooooh - good guess!!! Could be it!!
  17. QUOTE (Digital Man @ Oct 28 2004, 12:11 PM) Here's the next one: http://www.supposedlysane.com/shutterbug/archives/darksky3819.JPG Shreds of black cloud loom in overcast skies. The Necromancer keeps watch with his magic prism eyes. He views all his lands and is already aware of the three helpless invaders trapped in his lair... The Necromancer?
  18. QUOTE (madra sneachta @ Oct 28 2004, 06:27 PM)QUOTE (madra sneachta @ Oct 27 2004, 07:16 AM) Two words - Inciting Idle Mule On the off chance that anyone can pull themselves away from hitting a seal with a flamingo only to have it bounce off a tree, roll back on to a snake and then spring back beyond the tee (or is that only me??), I just thought I'd give this a Honestly, it's not hard or obscure. Two words (7,9) You are too funny!
  19. QUOTE (Digital Man @ Oct 28 2004, 12:16 PM) Not Jacob's Ladder. I figured that would be the first guess.
  20. QUOTE (Digital Man @ Oct 28 2004, 12:11 PM) Here's the next one: http://www.supposedlysane.com/shutterbug/archives/darksky3819.JPG My guess is... The clouds prepare for battle In the dark and brooding silence Jacob's Ladder?
  21. QUOTE (Rolinda Bonz @ Oct 28 2004, 11:46 AM)Digital Man has it, even though I like Paganoman's answer better. How kind. But I humbly submit to Digital Man. Well done!!
  22. QUOTE (Rolinda Bonz @ Oct 27 2004, 06:27 PM) http://usera.imagecave.com/RolindaBonz/11629.jpeg In the canyons of the city You can hear the buildings cry Available Light?
  23. One of the reasons I'm so into this band is the way the adrenalize me. It's like adrenaline is injected directly into my bloodstream. No band can do that more than Rush, and Distant Early Warning is probably the song that can does it the most. DEW takes it. (edited to correct my poor English)
