Many of you know that I spent 6 months in 2006 living in NJ with my Aunt and Uncle. My Aunt had breast cancer and was being treated, and was on the verge of closing the daycare center she ran, because my Uncle was at work all day, and she had no help. My Uncle is my Mom's brother, my Aunt is my Aunt through marriage. I love my Aunt so much that I lived there 5 days a week, and took care of the 9 daycare children when she was so sick from the chemo. I took them all to the park and played with them all day. My Aunt beat her cancer, and it has been in remission since. My Aunt's mother died atleast 10 years ago. I am not very sure because I was very young at the time. She died from breast cancer spreading. Today, my Aunt's sister passed on, also from her breast cancer spreading. She had been battling it for many years. Just in 2006, when I was staying with my Aunt, the doctors told us that she would pass on within the next 3 months. She lived three years more. Please send out your thoughts and prayers to my Aunt, her family, and our family. RIP Janet

Hey Blonde & ladies, it's been a while. Just thought I'd update on my Aunt.. She finished her Chemo & radiation and just had an operation earlier in the week to remove her "woman bits". I saw her about two weeks ago, and she looked great. Her hair was growing back and she was getting some color back.

Almost done Blonde! Hang in there!

That's terrible.. 3 months with 4 sessions of chemo isn't so bad. My Aunt had 3 months (and one week) with 8 (yes, 8) sessions of chemo. I don't know much, but this is what I know. Yes, my Aunt did get sick, yes, after two weeks her hair did fall out. Yes, through the first medicine (first 4 sessions) she was throwing up after every meal. Throufh the second half (last 4 sessions) with the new medicine, she had tingly feelings and her legs went numb once and she collapsed on the kitchen floor. No decision is easy to make, but lots of other women have gone through chemo & radiation. For my Aunt, she's more than halfway done. She finished chemo last week, and she doesn't need me..I'm moving back to my parents' house Thursday night. What's left for my Aunt? Radiation and her last two surgeries. Don't worry, whatever decision you make will be the best one. Take your time, and be strong.

wow! that is great news! My Aunt has her last chemo not this friday, but next. Then she has radiation..i wonder if you two will start around the same time.
