Well, based on the youtube video just posted of Vital Signs from "Live In YYZ 1981", I cannot really say for sure this is from 3/25/81. It definitely sounds like the 3/24 one. IN ANY CASE I am so happy we're getting this treasure unearthed from the depths of the archives after all these years!

Hey they just released Vital Signs from "Live In YYZ 1981" on youtube.

yes of course, my comments are specifically about the "Live in YYZ" small sample of Vital Signs from the unboxing vid.

There are some shenanigans going on here on the live sample from the youtube preview... At this point Geddy is singing "everybody got to elevate from the norm" ... but the note for "norm" is spot-on. Normally (in all cases I've heard) he will start the word a half-step down in pitch. It's odd and caught my ear the 1st time I heard the sample. And it doesn't jive from the aud recordings either... I just have a feeling they have gone through the multi-tracks carefully and possibly made slight adjustments here and there.

Yeah - finally - a full Moving Pictures show from 3/25/81. Wow - they didn't use the Edmonton, AB - June 25, 1981 tracks, but the Toronto show is certainly a special event being in their home town. we will have to see if the "sneak-in" some more preferred songs from prior nights (3/23 and 3/24) into this. Probably not but maybe.

There is no speculation -- for ESL, Geddy re-recorded vocals in the STUDIO for 100% of Limelight and 99% of Freewill. Probably other songs but I'm not sure. He probably did this because there was something amiss with the original vocals captured from the stage. Just one example of how the audio is crap on Rush Replay X 3 DVD Compare: The snare at the word 'bang' is completely drowned out in (either) some kind of horrible compression effect or digital clipping. Now listen to the original laserdisc audio: And this isn't youtube compression. I listened to the DVD too. I know it's been many years since this 'remastered' DVD came out (2006) but thought I would remind.

It would be LAME if they seriously only pointed back to 2011 Moving Pictures Deluxe Edition (which is all SOLD OUT BY THE WAY) + a t-shirt and said "here ya go, let's celebrate Moving Pictures", a 4x platinum selling album. Moving Freaking Pictures !!! it would be like throwing birthday parties for your 97,98,99 year old grandfather, but spending the day in bed on his 100th.

With regards to live bonus material, we know that there is a terrific recording from the MP tour for which 2 tracks were released on the '2112 Deluxe Edition' released at the end of 2012: - Overture (Northland Coliseum, Edmonton, AB - June 25, 1981) - The Temples of Syrinx (Northland Coliseum, Edmonton, AB - June 25, 1981) These tracks sound fantastic in my opinion. This show in Edmonton was very likely one of the many candidate recordings for Exit Stage Left. Wouldn't it be GREAT if we got the WHOLE or a VERY LARGE portion of the Edmonton show? How about The Camera Eye from the MP Tour! Yes please?? And please don't let Alex near the mixing board. No gated, compressed, clipping and altered drum adjustments - please! =) ps. We are getting old. They are getting old. Get this out there before it's lost forever!
