  • Favorite Rush Song
With a gun to my head, i'd say Subdivisions. Or Ghost of a Chance. OR, yeah... This one's HARD.
  • Favorite Rush Album
    Counterparts/GUP/PW/Signals/AFTK/HYF. Great album!
  • Best Rush Experience
I was a thirteen year old Rush fanatic. My parents took me to Counterparts in January of '94. The 2001 theme started up, with the space video, of the nut and bolt. Dreamline started, and tears streamed down my cheeks. I legitimately could have died happy, at that moment.

  1. If we mean unique among their own catalog, the eponymous and first album, RUSH, has to take the cake. I mean, come on: it was Alex and Geddy and JOHN, influenced by Cream, aiming to sound like Zeppelin. That being said, I understand the votes for Caress of Steel, as, it was their first attempt at being seriously unique on PURPOSE. And, surely Didacts and Narpets is the most unique Rush SONG. Edit: but, I'd argue that CoS has quite a bit in common with Hemispheres and 2112.
  2. Saint Maud. It was a gripping, atmospheric exploration of the fine line between sincere religious belief and sheer insanity. I'd sort of call it a "thinking man's" horror movie, if you will.
