Just my opinion, so no blastin! ha ha I feel that they over did some touring at the end, like they didn't need a second leg for snakes and arrows, and the defiantly didn't need a time machine tour, (we just had R30). And I feel that the first leg of clockwork angels tour, geddys voice would have been a lot better, they didn't need that extra strain in between, and I feel that due to this, his voice might have been rested more to sound better on R40. who may agree???

I really hope they release the rest of the 97 TFE footage we got on r40 box. a shame they didn't include the opening song dreamline!! hate when they cut key songs..

I would say by the roll the bones tour and cd.. cause there were 2 legs to that tour and the tickets were more money by 91-92, and roll the bones sold really well too and generated a lot new fans. unlike presto (which bombed). Alot of young people were getting into roll the bones at the time. plus. dreamline was a radio hit and mtv showed the video for roll the bones a lot.. Counterparts didn't fair as well and the tour was cut short due to a nasty cold geddy got.. any others?? on this..

yes, both presto and roll the bones tour geddy sounded perfect, sad thing is that we have lots of footage with recent tours where he sounds awful, wish they would added the whole show rather than 67 mins, they are going back to that again,,

rush needs to stop pulling these cash cows. this thing sucked.. rush hasn't been good since 1981

Didn't watch doc yet.. but checked out the presto footage,, strange, every song is a fade out and fade in,, glad they didn't do that with the TFE footage. Now, onto the footage, great sound and the picture is a real step up from the crappy footage we are all use to, can only imagine whats in their vaults.. It's funny how different of a band they became within just 10 years from the Permanent waves tour, looks style, song selection. Now, one great thing here is Geddys voice, is in great shape here. Would love to see a proshot from roll the bones tour, a complete show not partial, I think RTB tour was one of their best, specially the presto songs were done better. But the presto songs here really rock hard.. So glad the sound is as good as it is..

Set list placement,, the should have never put bravado after "the pass, too many slow songs in a row, should have not played bravado at all and just went right into the big money after "the pass, just my opinion.. I think it slowed the action down too much doing it that way..

Hope its worth it quality wise.. too badd they didn't in the whole show

What's a turntable mat? This is the best photo I could find of one. The turntable itself is metal-the steel rotating part with the dots around the edge. You wouldn't put your vinyl on just that, so they come with a floppy rubber mat (the one here says Audio-technica) that sits on top of them and that is where you actually put your record. (OK, the one in the photo might be felt fabric . . .) I grew up with stereos/vinyl/turntables and never even thought of the mat as being a separate thing; I've never even thought about it until your question. Kind of a genius marketing move on someone's part ! :D http://i425.photobucket.com/albums/pp338/plantfan40/3321302ld.jpg I have this turntable, word of advice, get a herbies turntable mat. its like $70 but so worth it. its like foam, but its a perfect mat and makes your record sound so much bette.r and doesn't stick at all..
