I think he still plays here and there, but just under the radar. He played with Michael Jackson for a bit after leaving Living Colour. Skillings did play with Living Colour in New York a few years back at a Hendrix tribute when Wimbish was absent:

That is a strong album....very hard, although "Nothingness" is very atmopsheric. Have you hear the acoustic version? Drummer Will Calhoun on piano: Stain is also interesting in that a that three of the tracks have alternate guitar solos...depending on which version you pick up.

I love Jimi...every time he touched the guitar it was magic to these ears...but in the spirit of this post I'll go with "Gypsys Eyes" from "Electric Ladyland" just never flowed for me.
