  1. QUOTE (treeduck @ Jun 14 2008, 10:59 AM) QUOTE (the masked drummer @ Jun 14 2008, 10:51 AM) Is there really a DVD coming out or is it a hoax? You would think there would be an announcement at dreamtheater.net wouldn't you? hmmm When you gonna take that mask off? I demand you reveal your face!! What have you got to hide matey????????????? Huh Treeduck? Whenever I put my real face up no one recognizes me. I'm ugly as hell too. I've got a lot to hide, chief!! OK, here ya go. The secret's out. Here's a recent pic of me: http://i77.photobucket.com/albums/j74/kenamay/fb.jpg
  2. I've got some of the "bootleg" DVD's and CD's from Mike's vault and they are damn good quality for calling them "boolegs". The local bands I've played in can maybe afford like one song of that type of quality and that's about it. a 3-camera crew isn't too expensive, but you add the top-shelf audio engineers, the multitrack recording rig, $20K worth of microphones, the mixing, editing, post-production work. That's what gets ya in the pocketbook. Portnoy was smart from the beginning and recorded almost every show they ever did on at least Digital Audio Tape. That way he not only can measure their progress but he can put out a CD and we would buy it. Oh, they've got a new 1993 State Theater Detroit with Kevin Moore CD? Sweet. I'll take it!

  4. Kansas is doing an outdoor concert on the Detroit riverfront August 8th, and it's 4 blocks from my new pad. And it's FREE! Any Michigan/Ohio TRFers going? I'm a long-time fan and would like to hook up with other fans for the show. Free parking at my place. Robbie Steinhardt left the band. What a bummer. I like them better when he's on tour. But still... What a great band!
  5. QUOTE (Godeater2112 @ May 22 2008, 03:47 PM) It's stupid dog shit like this that's the reason Neil probably doesn't like interacting with people he doesn't know to being with. The guy can't step out for a smoke or take a two minute walk without some ass hat detailing on the Internet how Neil doesn't like up to some dork's personal expectations. The internet (obviously) has made this problem 100 times worse than ever before. it's probably just a matter of time before celebs have their own gated cities, grocery stores, bars, movie theatres and tropical islands to vacation on - and who can blame them I guess.
  6. This is about the dumbest pissing contest ever. Neil is not a bad guy. He's just sensitive about being approached by people who want to rub elbows with him simply because he's famous. It gives him the creeps when people act like they know him but don't. He's super cool if he's , say, in a BMW dealership waiting to pick up his bike. My buddy's uncle was approachecd by Neil in that setting and Neil gleefully told him all about the band and stuff. He was cool with that. He'll approach strangers in that situation. Do ya get it? Give the guy a break and move on with your life, dude.
  7. QUOTE (Turn Me On Dead Man @ May 13 2008, 02:06 PM) QUOTE (mazyyz @ May 13 2008, 07:47 AM) QUOTE (gleamingalloyaircar81 @ May 13 2008, 12:22 AM) QUOTE (lerxt1990 @ May 12 2008, 08:12 PM) QUOTE (Roguedrummer @ May 12 2008, 08:45 PM) I just miss him.....great actor, great man He was great in Cool Runnings! How about Plains, Trains, and Automobiles?? Another John Hughes classic. Planes, trains and automobiles was good, but a ripoff of the 1970 classic "The Out Of Towners" with Jack Lemmon and Sandy Dennis.
  8. QUOTE (fs2112 @ May 14 2008, 09:46 AM) terrible news. he probably was a guy with a lot of class and integreity. he couldve capitalized on rush's popularity and written a few books about the early years of rush, or gone on a few talk shows to gossip about geddy and alex. he couldve even recorded a few solo albums in 82 or 83 when rush was becoming very popular. instead, he did the classy thing and stayed out of rush's fame. RIP JR. That is so true. Very well said.
  9. QUOTE (condemned2bfree @ May 12 2008, 01:42 AM) QUOTE (rushbass @ May 11 2008, 01:28 AM) I have never seen this before, until now! Where did this come from? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YuSbzTqD4LI Its off a primus dvd - 'animals should not act like people' if I remember correctly. I knew I saw that somewhere before. Alex looks like Jim Carrey in dumb and dumber. lmao
  10. QUOTE (Rolinda Bonz @ May 14 2008, 02:01 AM) QUOTE (edgyspice @ May 13 2008, 11:14 PM) Some Neil playing cards! http://i43.photobucket.com/albums/e397/edgyspice/neilcards.jpg nice! Badass collage Edgy!!!
  11. Uncle Buck really isn't that funny to me since I'm the Uncle Buck of my family.
  12. Have you shown your love for Mr Peart today, ladies?? Please go easy on him. One Neil, so many Ladies of TRF...
  13. That's like asking what's the best turd in the pile of crap. Roll the Bones was a good comeback after Hold your Fire and Presto and I'll leave it at that. That's how I'm feeling today, anyway. I think I'd rather possibly wear Sally Jesse Raphael's panties like a ski mask than listen to Hold your Fire today. It's been years since I've pulled out that crimson-colored disaster of a recording.

She eats it like a pro, though, huh? Sorry for me taking over a year for this post, Tick. I just now finally saw this most-awesome thread. TickDonald's. Nice.
  15. Geddy is the shit. Nice to see him get the respect he deserves. Take good care of him, ladies...
  16. QUOTE (Cygnus The God Of Balance @ Apr 24 2008, 11:32 AM) $3.69/gal this morning in Michigan's U.P. No crap? I didn't know you live in the Sault!! I used to live on Drummond Island and I play shows up there every 4th of July weekend. Our family stays up there for a week every year. Small world!
  17. I just got an '08 Jeep Commander. I'm happy with it except for the mileage is horrible. Can't wait to take it to the sand dunes this Summer, though.
  18. "Geez, was what I said that lame?". I nearly have a complex about this.
  19. OK, OK. You're right... I think it's actually a nice option. I'm sure I'll still go to the concert, but some of these costs just seem criminal.
  20. Now I'm furious... Ticketmaster emailed me about getting VIP Meet and Greet packages for the upcoming Dream Theater tour. They want...Get This...$300 for a gen adm ticket and a Q&A Meet n Greet. In 1992 they would walk out into the same venues they're playing now, and talk to anyone... for free. Man, these cats are out for retirement money lately. I'm done with DT. This is the first tour I'm going to miss. I ordered a Cygnus & The Seamonsters Rush Tribute DVD from MP's site, but that's it for my 2008 DT allowance... Dream Theater Progressive Nation 2008: http://www.cashcow.ziddly.com/cashcow.jpg

It's $26.60 including s&h. Damn, gonna cost me a lot to get it shipped to U.K. I can imagine... Yeah dude, but think about it this way: Don't you wanna help Mike pay for his kids to attend college?? Do you want that on your conscience for years to come if you don't order it?? Do the right thing, man. http://personal.telefonica.terra.es/web/metalqueens/Meanstreak/fotos/Marlene-Mike-Melody-Max.jpg Suddenly $55 for a ticket sounds OK. Point well taken...
