  1. I'm a huge setlist nut and have studied Rush's setlists religiously over the years. The earlier ones are a little difficult to track because who knows if they played certain songs in Omaha or some other horseshit city and it never got documented in the past 40 years? I feel like the setlist reports from 1977 forward are more reliable. I'm guessing on the songs for the CoS and 2112 tours. What songs were only played on tour supporting that album? CoS - I Think I'm Going Bald 2112 - The Twilight Zone (Oracle: The Dream never played until TFE tour) AFTK - Cinderella Man Hemispheres - Hemispheres (Full-Version - an abbreviated version appeared on PeW tour) PeW - Jacob's Ladder MP - N/A Signals - Chemistry, Countdown GuP - The Enemy Within, Afterimage, Kid Gloves PoW - N/A (Grand Designs and Middletown Dreams reappear again only on CA tour) HYF - Prime Mover, Lock And Key, Turn The Page Presto - War Paint, Scars (Presto never played until TM tour) RTB - N/A (Where's My Thing? finally played again on CA tour) Counterparts - Cold Fire, Double Agent (Between Sun & Moon never played until VT tour) TFE - Half The World, Virtuality, Limbo, Time And Motion, Test For Echo VT - Ceiling Unlimited, Ghost Rider S&A - Armor & Sword, Spindrift, The Way The Wind Blows, Main Monkey Business, Malignant Narcissism, The Larger Bowl, Hope (Faithless never played until TM tour) Great research Grand Designer
  2. It's about to be. Just for a few hours. It does seem faster now. The main thing I used to find is going into sub forums used to take quite a long time. Going into threads was always ok, except the really big ones like the song thread. it's a weird thing with how this software is set up. The more posts you have, the longer it takes to get into the bigger forums. But having a faster machine like we do now helps alleviate that. Signal transmitted, Message received Reaction making impact, Invisibly
  3. I miss the dial up modem sound.
  4. Where is the Hold Your Fire vs. Test For Echo in it's entirety Poll?
  5. I'm sorry but when did bringing children, anxiety dogs, to every SINGLE place you go become acceptable? For R40, I am getting a doctors note to bring my Anxiety pelican 'Birdie' to the show. I'm sure he will just love the loud sounds, but hey, It will calm me down
  6. Permanent Waves is only 36 minutes long. If they play 3 hours, it would barely make a dent in the setlist, because 2-3 of the songs would be there anyways. I think this could happen. So I vote PW They are never playing Losing It, or playing Countdown again.
  7. If Rush was going to play Lincoln, they should have opened the tour there. No one EVER questions the opening city...crickets
  8. Never buy 1 ticket well in advance. Was working in Kansas City in May 2008, The Police were on there reunion tour. Got off work early, heard they were playing a sold out show, went to the arena to score a cheap ticket, Show was sold out...3 minutes asking for 1 ticket...8th Row floor. Paid $75 bucks for a $150 ticket. Dude's cousin backed out.... Always someone who's wife/brother/boss/priest who could not make it... Bought the guy a beer since I was sitting next to him...
  9. I have an account but under a pseudonym. I do not want all the knuckleheads from my past tracking me down, so I hide behind a fake name taken from a 60s sitcom. Only my family and a few close friends know who I am and that I (infrequently) post there. Pseudonym from a 60's sitcom?? Sgt. Schultz? Skipper? Jethro Bodine? Gidget? We'll never crack this code..
  10. Deep in the data- Something for Nothing not played live since 1979. Seems unreal. ?? Is this true?
  11. Cut to the Chase and Virtuality would be nice 90's Rush to add as well
  12. Forget seeing the movie- Listen to this...ROFL http://www.liveleak....=c82_1337349279
  13. Backroom dealings involving Prince Mongo and Wayne Emmons I assume
  14. Absolutely we can. But there's a right and a wrong in this debate, and we all know what's 'right' and what ain't. Here's the lesson for today, kids. Don't let people move up to your section. Tell 'em to get lost. If they refuse, get security to do it for you. :) Kids are sitting on their hands at the Ed Sheeran show
  15. Tom Sawyer, Spirit, 2112, Closer and Freewill are in after that.....anyones guess
  16. If they HAVE to play something off CA. 1 minutes and 27 seconds would be just fine with me...but not a second more
  17. CA In the bottom 20%. ...Just not a good album. Every post say 'great effort'...I do not think it was a 'great effort'...I think Neil's storylines were great as usual, But Sound, ugh. Same ol same ol this century..... What is the obsession with 'The Garden' people have??? Praying CA is left OFF the R40 tour.
  18. Good post. But as I have said in May (NBA Playoffs) they are playing NBA arenas in Dallas, Houston, New Orleans. June- Chicago, Detroit and Toronto- During the NBA Finals So why wouldn't those cities take the same actions as you are saying Cleveland, SA, Milwaukee? Plus NHL arenas in St. Paul, St.Louis, Dallas, Tampa, Columbus, Buffalo, Chicago, Toronto..over 4 rounds of playoffs. Seems your NBA/NHL argument is a little weak. For Memphis- It's something completely different. It's a personal disdain for the city. It's a running joke for people of Memphis. 2 new arenas the last 20 years, NBA team- but Rush..........NO Last played on the 'Roll the Bones' tour. I'm convinced someone got mugged, food poisoning or worse in May 1992 there... 9 straight tours - ZERO Memphis concerts. Maybe Memphis just isn't a hot enough market. But Lincoln, Nebraska is a Rush hotbed. Apparently more than Cleveland or Pittsburgh.....
  19. I'm glad everyone is having fun. Anything that gets us to discuss the greatest band on earth is a great day...... The thing that I question is 'In the Mood' last played in 1990? Does not seem that long ago.
  20. I did my project. Any data analysis is on you LocalsBandGuy. :fuckinputer:

  22. I thought the same logic on setlist building. You have to add 10-12 of the top 15 to ANY potential setlist don't you?? It's the remaining 14 songs that are difficult
  23. Alien 5 won't happen, There is already plans to remake the original Alien
  24. Zombies, but they come to life at the Battle of Gettysburg, and well you know- America is unified into 1 angry zombie fighting land.
