  2. QUOTE (ReRushed @ Oct 20 2008, 07:33 PM)QUOTE (Lady April @ Oct 20 2008, 10:13 PM) QUOTE (King Troll @ Oct 20 2008, 05:22 PM) QUOTE (Sark @ Oct 9 2008, 09:10 AM) Here's Olliver Syngen Mollusk! His best friend is a tree, and in his spare time he's a stock broker. I've bitten my tongue long enough, but you Americans should leave Python well alone. It's British Comedy for British people. I know American English is a bit of a retarded written language but it not know that it's Oliver St John-Mollusc is truly reprehensible. I suppose the only upside is that you buggers have never tried remaking it. Ok then, answer me this, what exactly is British? Is it a bloodline or is it a citizenship? Don't mind him, he's only being a twit! But definitely not an upper-class twit.
  3. Scientifically, you could say they were in the middle of the Mutara Nebula, which could have played havok with the transporter's energy streams. Although, one point Kirk said they would beam over and stop it, but his son responded that it couldn't be stopped. Maybe it just couldn't be beamed far enough away to put the ship out of danger. Aww, c'mon. You mean you didn't enjoy Khan quoting Capt Ahab with his dying words?

You join us just as the competitors are running out onto the field on this lovely winter's afternoon here, with the going firm underfoot and very little sign of rain. Well it certainly looks as though we're in for a splendid afternoon's sport in this the 127th Upperclass Twit of the Year Show."
  5. As the proud new owner of the 16 ton megaset, I'll finally have full exposure to all that was Python. Sadly, I must admit that I had seen most but not all of the original ep's or skits. "Photographs, he asked him knowingly! Wink, wink! Ring, ring! Snap, snap! Nudge, nudge!"
  6. I didn't realize they were doing two episodes tonight. Go figure the premiere hype show with all of its 'sneak peaks' would all be from the first two eps, except where Ma Petrelli 'feeds' Sylar, but I can already tell that will be an early scene in Chp 3. I'm guessing the writers had enough time to get Volume 3 off to a proper start.
  7. Maybe at the end, Baty realized that Deckard was also a replicant. Interesting point is that during his final speech, he says "I've seen things you people wouldn't believe" which could suggest that he thought Deckard was human.
  8. I had never really thought about whether Deckard was human or replicant before, having always assumed he was human. But considering many of the questions put forth, such as how he was able to survive so much abuse at the hands of the other replicants that would have crippled or killed a human, it would appear he was. Especially when Ridley Scott finally admitted he always viewed Deckard as being a replicant. The unicorn dream combined with Gaff's Origami unicorn figurine. In Leon's hotel, Deckard does all the investigation while Gaff does nothing, which makes me think of a wrangler following a hound on the scent. I remember from the original version, Deckard's voiceover narration stated that his theory why Baty saved Deckard's life was that at that moment Baty loved all life, not just his own.
  9. Well, now the comedic duo is together again. I recall that Dan Rowan died of a smoking-related illness many years ago. Say goodnight, Dick
  10. Here in Seattle, I've heard before that Mariners outfielder Raul Ibanez is a big Rush fan and a guitar player. He said his older brothers got him hooked on Caress of Steel when he was a kid.
  11. QUOTE (Jack Aubrey @ Feb 19 2008, 05:21 PM)I was just getting ready to watch this again when something occured to me. Spoiler. Highlight, etc.: In the beginning of the film, the replicants are said to be designed to be "more intelligent than the genetic engineers who designed them". So isn't that even more evidenc that Deckard is a replicant? In that it takes a replicant to catch a replicant? How could a mere human track down someone that smart if they were set on staying hidden? Yeah, I'm obsessive about this one... Continuing the spoiler-hiding concept: Actually, I think the line you are thinking of is "superior in strength and speed and at least equal in intelligence to the genetic engineers who created them." But an extremely good point, considering that if Batty was at least equal in intelligence to Elden Tyrell, who was obviously an uber-genius, no human Blade Runners would ever have a chance of finding him or his team. After all, how common is genius? We know Leon was a little dense, but Zora and Pris seemed to be very intelligent, although a bit feral.
  12. QUOTE (Mandalorian Hunter @ Feb 17 2008, 04:02 PM) Bossk, Dengar, 4-Lom, Zuckuss and IG-88 OK, I'll have to take your word on 4-Lom and Zuckuss, not expecting all of them to be listed. Go.
  13. Provide the name of one of the other bounty hunters, besides Boba Fett, that Vader hires in Empire.

  15. QUOTE (workingcinderellaman @ Feb 11 2008, 09:05 AM)I liked him. remember that T.V. series about the submarine that he was in? Yep, it was called Seaquest DSV. I loved the first season. The second season was ok, but then he was replaced as captain by Michael Ironside in the third season and the series died. I remember hearing his guest role as the Russian mobster on Third Watch was quite good.
  16. QUOTE (Pags @ Jan 16 2008, 05:50 AM)But what is at all relevant about a Brit faking an American accent? They are actors. That's what they are SUPPOSED to do. I'll bet she really doesn't have a bionic body - and she got the part any way, right? Oops, I stated that wrong. There was supposed to be irony there. I just found it funny considering the one comment about Lena Headey faking an American accent led to suggesting that Michelle Ryan would be good for the part. However, she's also British, hence the irony. It's commendable when they can fake an accent consistently. Are we kosh now?
  17. QUOTE (Pags @ Jan 15 2008, 07:20 PM)QUOTE (Rushman14 @ Jan 15 2008, 08:08 PM) QUOTE (Necromancer @ Jan 15 2008, 06:05 PM) My only complaint is Sarah Connor herself. She doesn't remind me of Hamilton at all. no she reminds me of a british actress faking an american accent. Yeah you know who'd be better in this role? The girl who plays Bionic Woman. Another Brit faking an American accent? Besides, I think she would look a little too young to be the mother of a teenager.
  18. *spoiler* I was a little concerned about the inconsistency of the T-800's head from '99 getting into the time jump sphere and finding it's way to '07. As even stated by 'Cameryn' (the girl terminator protecting John), only living tissue will travel through time. But I can see the whole concept of the series will be about trying to find and prevent Skynet from being constructed. Even though much of this is starting to invalidate T3, some may still be relevant. I suspect they will still learn that it is General Brewster and CRS that is responsible for Skynet's creation.
  19. Unfortunately, liquidcrystalcompass would be attracted to what appears to be a football game between the Cowboys and Giants. However, both teams are now zombies, and what appears to be the football is actually some victim's head. Thinking that the zombie 'Cowboys' are literally taking his advice to 'kill the ref,' he still would not see his danger until the rest of the crowd, also zombies, pounces on him and devours his brain. But in the mean time, everyone else, other than those excessively fanatical about football, gets to safety. Next: Alsgalpal
  20. My first Blu-Ray disc. The images are very clear and beautiful. The music score has always been powerful. I can't seem to see any difference between the final cut and the '92 director's cut.
  21. My opinion is that it was done that way on purpose. Rat was so nervous, he made a mistake and threw in Physical Graffiti instead of IV. Also consider that they were listening to the album while on their way to the restaurant. Damone's instructions were to listen to IV while making out, which is usually at the end of the date.
  22. FFN of Rebecca de Mornay, hot. Score by Tangerine Dream, mesmerizing. "Time of your life, huh kid?"
  23. Got ya beat on procrastinating. This was from my daughter's visit last summer. I took her on a whale watching cruise in Puget Sound. http://i84.photobucket.com/albums/k38/arndrake/Shaevisit07/IMG_0359.jpg Anybody interested can follow the links to slideshows from the whale watching tour. The whales we saw were Orcas, aka killer whales.
