  1. Shocking album.. A collection of riffs with attempts at melody over the top.. Agree with previous post, headache is a terrific album, with four or five classic songs! Look forward to the next geddy album!
  2. From Tears.. ".. That know why-ee.." No emotion eh?
  3. I love when Geddy's vocalizations get typed out! tongue.gif And, holy cow, yes to 'Cygnus X-1'. My favourite part is just before the 'nerve' part: "Like a spiral sea, unending". I love how enormously loud, urgent, and shrieky he is here! The highest note GED sings.. Top f# I believe, is right there!
  4. Where's 'available light'?? That's a very underrated song..
  5. Front row, Sheffield UK on snakes and arrows tour, caught Alex's pick as he skimmed it out! Got a smile from Ged when he saw my "Beaker" from the muppets T-shirt!
  6. Geddy has lip synced on previous tours, not sure that he did on this one, but definitely has done before and will do again. Singing for 3 hours a night for as long as he has done is not good for anyone's vocal chords..don't blame him one bit for doing so!
  7. For me, the mid 80's albums were when the best songs were written, when melodies were allowed to flow and not compounded by overly pretentious lyrics and over dominant guitar with complex time signatures just for the hell of it.Even now I wish for a return to the days when the songs took precedent over the mess that occurs when you simply try and sing over a'jam session'
  8. ..never heard them with a quality sound, always too loud and too much bass! Just roll it back a little! Only time you can hear the drums is during the solo!
  9. ..they must be using a click, or a led metronome, it would be impossible to get the tempo right without some reference of what tempo the samples were taken. Even if you were 2bpm out that would be escalated by the end of the phrase!
