  1. Paradise Lost-Medusa (7/10) I liked this album. I will Admit the doom aspects do get same-y and it makes the album seem way longer than it is. I've never been big on this type of metal anyway. BUT on the posity side it's still catchy. Mick
  2. 30 years if we're counting the debut which is basically a Ghorl side project. Mick
  3. I forgot AC/DC. they're last was great. Mick
  4. it was angel of Retribution i loved. Redeemer always sounded a bit phoned in to me. Mick
  5. It's an older album already but it was later in his career. Sunken Condos by Donald Fagen. maan if Walter Becker who was still alive back then had played on it....you'd have a killer Steely Dan album. Fun fact......Segue had been loving this album WHILE bagging on the dan. BITCH!!!!!!! it was so funny. it was a dan record basically, lol Mick
  6. Magic is a GREAT album. i've said later boss is hit or miss but Magic hits it all the way out of the park. Mick
  7. This thread has me re-playing 13 by Sabbath um........yea can't include it. it's one big tribute to better times. every song echoes another. Not a bad thing but with them it's coming across as see what we used to be? ok now go put thoes albums on, lol Mick
  8. he will be once YOU become a die hard, lol we know what you do Mick
  9. here's the caveat though. if you're not a fan of his solo stuff. i can't see you getting much from it. i adore the guy so it's been fun. not like i've loved his whole solo career but you get me, lol Mick
  10. Oh and Elvis Costello has been on a roll too. Mick
  11. I hate to be THAT guy sucking off a Beatle. but i will be. Paul Mccartney's later career from 2005 on has been.....by and large absolutly FANTASTIC. Mick
  12. If we're included solo acts. Springsteen has been on a mini resurgence with his last 2. he has such a rocky later era (IMO) these last 2.....not counting the covers album.....where like. "where has THIS Bruce been? Mick
  13. Taking Out the Astonishing Mangini era of DT has been aces as well. I loved A View from the Top of the World. Mick
  14. Judas Priest The last two. Blue Oyster cults last album was AMAZING. I really enjoyed the last rolling Stones and i'm not even a big fan. Iron Maiden. yes you can argue they're all too long which i agree but they all have Quality songs. Styx last two. Mick
  15. Deep Purple-Fireball (9/10) This a great record. Anyone's Daughter.....is a thing they did but i love everything else!!! DP is one of thoes bands i put em on and i love them more than i thought, lol Mick
  16. Frank Zappa-Roxy & Elsewhere (10/10) My fav zappa era and band. I also have the Roxy Live performance box that has the complete concerts from his Roxy stay. He really started flexing on the guitar during this era too. Mick
  17. i do love peaches too. i will admit that song smokes. Mick
  18. i'll tell you why....i'm not a fan of all instrumental albums. simple as that. i appreciate the talent on there but i get bored really quick if there's no vocals. i can deal with an isolated instrumental on an album. which Zappa has done too. but a full album i just zone out. i mean it does have one vocal in Willie The Pimp but that's it, Mick
  19. i'm forever bouncing between Making Movies and Love over Gold as my fav. both tremendous records. Mick
  20. thing is zappa was so prolific that i think everyone has different favs. i know people who love the early Mothers period best. That's probably my least fav era. i also am not fond of his classical ventures. ii think my fav band he had is the 73-76 one. so that's like Over-nite Sensation to One size fits all album wise. Mick
