  1. Savatage-Gutter Ballet (10/10) i'm convinced this band listened to a bit of Jim Steinman. a song such as When the Crowds are Gone is page A1 of his songwriting playbook. Mick
  2. Phyllis Hyman-Living All Alone (10/10) Luther Vandross-Busy Body (10/10) Mick
  3. i still don't get that all or nothing view. but you do you i geyss. Mick
  4. Phyllis Hyman You know How to Love Me (10/10) Can't we Fall in Love Again (9/10) her discography is FIRE. Mick
  5. yea we agree. if a band/artists has ONE album i like overall i'll just stick to it. i won't really break my back trying to love them as a whole if i'm not feeling it. Mick
  6. i see your point....but hey i only like 3 pearl jam albums and they are in pretty regular rotation and they've had like 90 shit ones (IMO) lol. but i feel you. Mick
  7. it isnt for everyone. but if you get you really get it. it's similar to an artist like Meat Loaf. he's very pomp. and Camp in places as well. and there's NO inbetween either. I've never heard man....Meats alright. it's always i hate that dude or he's my everything, lol Mick
  8. Drones rules. and BTW.....i don't not get the whole thing of if i like this i'll only like 2 albums outta whatever? SO WHAT?????? it's two albums you didn't enjoy before. now you do!!! i'd say on the whole i only maybe love 7 outta 10 swift albums. but i love what i do. it can be the same if you only love 2 albums of an artist. you don't need to adore a whole band. jeez y'all are negative sometimes Mick
  9. Muse live.......you just kind of have to give yourself over to the pomp. i've watched. it's essentially rock broadway. i know this makes me sound pompous but there's a certain suspenion of belief to Muse in concert. it's like seeing phantom of the opera live. flash and pomp. and if you can't ease yourself in......you are gonna hate it. just my 2 cents. Mick
  10. Madness is Currently playing. i too noticed how pristine and crisp it sounds. on headphoines Everything has it's space to breath. Mick
  11. Phylis Hyman-Living All Alone (10/10) One of the most criminally unsung Rn B heroes ever. not among deep R N B fans but comercially.....yes. Discovered her through a documentary 3 years ago. Sad life and end but Immensely talented. Had the potential to be among the 90's diva boom but demons beat her. Thoes other ladies intimidated her and that fed her insecurities sadly. LOVE this woman. Mick
  12. Billy Ocean-Love Zone (9/10) Green Day-Saviors (6/10) Mick
  13. YES!!!!!!! I was gobsmacked. i don't wanna hope but i was thinking possibly new album too? probably not but a man can dream. what a 2024 that would be, lol just happy he recorded anything. Mick
  14. MUSE!!!!!! i've come more around. the only two that does little for me are Simulation Theory and Will of the people. Mick
  15. that's how i describe half of swift's discography shhh......trying to trigger Segue, lol Mick
  16. i can see that. i don't like ALL of her cute-sy pop numbers. some of them just don't land for me. they come across as ain't i just precious? you who did that too? Paul Simon. and i disliike it when he does it as well, lol Mick
  17. To be fair to it. AI WAS a moment. i'd say in the US a cultural milestone. and remember GD at that point kinda fell off. popiularity had faded a bit. when rhey appeared again. we all went "i remember these guys!!!" Whether AI is perfect actually is up for debate but it's importance can't be forgotten. Mick
  18. AI is great but i feel like it's not perfect. the last 2 songs drag it down a bit IMO. Still top 5 though, Warning is fantastic and kinda doesn't get the praise it deserves. it has fans but not near enough. i'm the only FOA mark alive. i know it but i feel like people are the loons not me, lol. i think FOA is fan-fukking-tastic. Mick
