  1. I won't go there Well...I don’t either. That death growl/Cookie Monster shit ruins good music for me. It is the bit of poop on an ice cream cone...ruins the whole thing. I see it more as a special effect, or a deeper part of the music compared to normal "clean" vocals. That's how I hear it anyway. I'm not the biggest fan of the growling vocals but most bands that use it wouldn't sound right using a cleaner or melodic style. More often than not it fits best with the music and mood they're trying to convey. The closest I could ever get to enjoying that type of vocal style is Pantera. Maybe I'm just weird
  2. I won't go there So you don't like them either? I thought you were the number #1 death metal fan on here? What happened to you, you didn't go soft did you? I'm more into this now Maybe we should try to have this forum changed to a KC and the Sunshine Band forum, at least they still tour.http://www.heykcsb.com/shows That's Michael Jackson right there
  3. Overall, I like Howard as a director but having to do that doesn’t sound good. No it doesn't. However, if there was a director who knows movies it's him. Orginally, Lucas approached him for either the pre-quels or RTJ...not sure. Anyway, that guy can direct.

  5. Ryan: "I feel cool as hell listening to this"
  6. Ryan: "What the hell was that?" George: "That was glass breaking"
  7. Interesting these guys poo-poo'd Dream Theater, but loved this. An aside, they associated Rush with dope during the guitar solo. If only they attended a concert...be a lot of dope in the air...just sayin'!!!!
  8. Michael Jackson...they connected Michael Jackson with YYZ. Funny stuff. Yeah, the first thing I've always thought of when the groove drops in is Beat It. :laughing guy: Interesting how Geddy really recieved the majority of high praise from Ryan, though all of them got a lot. He was smitten with Ged.
  9. I petitioned for it, somehow they chose YYZ.
  10. "My momma would get up and two-step to this shit" And his uncle "these guys are jammin!" "Am I supposed to moonwalk to this?"

  13. Let the adulation and comedy begin. Many on the forum have been keeping an eye on these guys waiting for them to review and react to Rush....here it is! It's a blast to listen to these dudes. And this song made the playlist. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B52bvzudAvQ
  14. I want more Porgs in the next one, lol. Now that they've been taken off their native planet, they're gonna be fruitful and multiply all across the galaxy. Twice as bad as Tribbles..... That was the first Star Trek episode I showed my oldest son...then he proceed to watch every one--at 11. Now he's into prog at 12.
  15. Those morons waste far too much ammo. They are at war and they need to start acting like professionals, raid a store that sells books and/or dvds on tactical training and raid a military base and take all of the manuals about tactics. Take also dummy guns and knives and get to training. You can bet the ranch that's what I'd be doing, training like my life depended on it. Because at that point it would. You already do those things Jack. And there is no zombie apocalypse! :P Nah, my complaint isn't that the characters should do those things and aren't. My complaint is Rick is doing things which isn't in his character after all he's been through and has already done. Blubbering like that? Quitting? He might've cried and given up vs an enemy in season 1 or possibly even in 2 when he was inexperienced with murdering and misery. But now (beginning of season 7 that is)?! He had already given up before Abraham was bashed. Rubbish. Unrelated: - I thought the show truly was crap at mid-season of season 6 I think it was. A zombie horde had slipped into Alexandria and Rick went outside to hack at them solo. He was soon joined by all of the Alexandria citizens. And there's a closeup shot of each citizen hacking at some zombie with these cheesy looks of anger and determination. Visually, it was extremely, unintentionally B-movie looking. - I wished they'd kill Carl. He feels like a side character that should be trashed. - Actually, I haven't even seen most of season 7 but when is baby Judith going to not be a baby? Since Carl has naturally aged, she should too. It's like her first year of infancy has lasted four years! :P In the JohnnyBlaze Walking Dead series this is who'd die or would already be dead (if one or some of these characters actually died in season 7, don't tell me): Carl, baby Judith, Rosita, Tara I only dislike Carl but the other 3 don't do much to serve the overall story IMHO. And when they have had their shining moments, it's not too interesting. I was good with Sasha being killed off as I didn't like her. But what a shitty way to off her. No pay off whatsoever. And if we were living during the zombie apocalypse you'd be doing those things, too!!! I don't want to see them doing weeks of military training no matter how much they should if it all were real. Really? It'd at least show they're taking their own survival seriously instead of rushing headllong into everything as well prepared as a cocker spaniel would be for a calculus exam. I'm saying the kind of training that you're talking about doesn't have to be drawn out or labored over. It can be done in a 5-7 minute montage. Or over the course of half or less of ONE episode. (Think Rocky movies.) I'm positive more than 75% of fans don't want to see Carl learn how to fire a gun or tie a knot for half a season I wouldn't mind a montage, it would be better than nothing. The show is seriously jumping the shark. At this point I enjoy Fear The Walking Dead more. It ain't jumping it...it's humping it...for every nickel it's worth
  16. Gabriel should've wasted that bastard...he had the chance. If you've read the comic, you know that we're gonna have Negan around for awhile.
  17. THe only thing worth your time, the entire season, is the shot where Rick has a helocopter flying over his head. That gives you hope that the freaking Walking Dead story will improve.
  18. Yoda was great! The hair stood up on my arms! Could you imagine seeing this before you went to the movie? Check this out: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OQ8v_KUS0Qg Yoda was one of the best things about Last Jedi. Though brief, he fit in perfectly and looked good too. Isn't it cool that all this takes place a long time ago in a galaxy far far away...and the term "page turner" could be used? Universal the term is
  19. Just saw it last night. I give it a C+. Had a couple of goosebump moments, when Kylo and Rey joined together to defeat the guard, the final scene with Luke. Other than that, it was ok.Thought the script, especially Luke's part, was a real stunner. It just wasn't that good. He had an arrogance that wasn't present in the original, and was a total dick. Carrie Fisher performance was meh (RIP). Does anyone here think she could act her way out of a paper bag? It's on the same level as Jake Lloyd from Menace. A WTF moment was with the introduction of Chewbacca. Not even a hug from Luke? The opening scene with Poe and Hux, though funny, was out of place for a Star Wars movie. Other than that, think about the battle with the AT-AT's on the salt planet...straight outta the Hoth playbook, right down to the trenches and binocular shots with them in the distance. All in all, way too long. The Force Awakens blows this one out of the water. JJ, please come back Empire: A+ New Hope: A+ Force Awakens: A Rogue One: B Return: B- Last Jedi: C+ Revenge: D Clones: D Phantom: F-
  20. This was too amazing not to share. Mind blowing stuff

  22. I saw him in Louisville on that tour. Alice in Chains and Sepultura opened. One of the best shows I've seen. AIC simply shined on the Dirt tour. Funny thing about Ozzy...he doesn't tolerate apathy at his shows. He MAKES you stand up. Pipes were good that night too!
