  1. losingit, you just wanted an excuse to use the word "trifecta", didn't you? Can't blame you.... it's a great word.
  2. QUOTE (treeduck @ Jun 11 2012, 11:00 PM) QUOTE (CrossedSignals @ Jun 12 2012, 12:52 AM) treeduck He did mention aliens! Your new-found enthusiasm for memes is inspiring.
  3. QUOTE (Analog_Bro @ Jun 11 2012, 10:48 PM) At approximately what time is this "glitch fill" on We Hold On? I never paid that much attention to that song myself I usually stop listening to the song before it gets to that point.
  4. Snakes and Arrows above Counterparts and VT? booooooooooo
  5. Totally agree with you OP! Wish Them Well ranks much nearer the top than the bottom of my favorite songs on CA.
  6. QUOTE (Steely Caress @ Jun 11 2012, 10:06 PM)I do not need pee breaks at a Rush show. Although Roll the bones and Secret touch could make me think about it this time Please RUSH play Roll The Bones! It'll be just us while the rap-hatin' fools flee the scene to pee! One on one with Ged, Alex, and Neil.... hell yeah, baby!
  7. QUOTE (Jar2112 @ Jun 11 2012, 08:55 PM)Oh boy.. I'm sorry for creating such a stir. My apologies, fellas. It's all good.... but as I said before, I'd love to see some specific examples. I have some experience with audio editing and would be interested in checking it out.
  8. QUOTE (danielmclark @ Jun 11 2012, 05:48 PM) AD was one of the best shows on TV... killed off by an apathetic public that has no taste (as all the best stuff usually is). I'm excited as hell that it's coming back! Sad but true. Two and a Half Men gets 10 seasons and counting, but Firefly gets ONE?!! Dollhouse gets TWO?? Screw you, American TV watching public. Screw you. *shakes head and walks away slowly with hands in pockets*
  9. Big fan here! I've probably seen the whole show 5 times through. So many great one-liners.... and David Cross as Tobias is one of the funniest characters of all-time. Gob too. "....this hundred dollar bill is no more than a hundred pennies!" *POOF*
  10. QUOTE (Unattractive Truth @ Jun 11 2012, 03:43 PM) QUOTE (Cowtothesky @ Jun 11 2012, 01:24 PM) Ron Howard is set to be executive producer for the Arrested Development movie, which has been announced. I'm so excited, I almost blue myself. I proudly don this shirt from time to time: http://t-shirtguru.com/product-images/blue-myself-arrested-development-t-shirt-80stees.gif

I can't think of one person that thinks that Oh, for sure there is. I recall at least a few people on TRF stating VT as the best Rush album. Just can't remember who... Crossed Signals and New World Kid...at least I think. God really ? Whoa whoa whoa WHOA don't put words in my mouth! VT is my SIXTH favorite Rush album. Sixth. Not first. I just talk about it a lot because I like to rile you up. Hey...I said "I think". No worries.... I DO talk about VT more than most, and I used to have it in my sig.... very understandable mistake.

As I was being lowered to the floor, I could see and feel the darkness arriving. I was actually standing there watching myself being shot. I remember one dream involving a Hammer House of Horror, gothic style house, one small boy (about 5 years old) and no parents. The kid had been left alone to do some sort of homework (the parents just seemed to have abandoned him; in fact, the parents weren't even there full-stop). He'd heard electrical humming sounds (like robots) from somewhere, got up to have a look, and found an arched open doorway, no door attached, with colorful streamers hanging down. He went through it, and---. That was it. Dream over. I tried to get back to it, even deliberately think about it, but no, nothing. To this day, roughly 30 years later, I never did find out what happened to that kid... Then there were a whole bunch of human skulls lying scattered all over a playing field. Teeth falling out - common enough. Walking around in a house and finding out that the boyfriend I'd had had been cheating (the clues were written on a blackboard - I can't remember what was written. He just stood there admitting it, and his bit-on-the-side had conveniently scarpered. There are probably some more that I can no longer remember, but I do remember one that was, to me, so awful, I just can't bear to repeat it. It's burned in my memory. Yeah I have dreams where my teeth fall out, or I look in the mirror and my teeth are all f*cked up and when I wake up I often get up and look in the mirror for real just to check! Oh God, I have teeth dreams too! I thought I was the only one. Those freak the crap outta me.... It's supposed to mean you have a fear of aging... I think we all have a little bit of that. That makes sense! I totally do have a fear of aging. I don't plan on fighting the natural aging process (Botox, cosmetic surgery, etc.), but I am definitely a little apprehensive about getting older right now. As far as your original question, I always dream in the first person. I've also had dreams where I'm observing everything, but it's more like watching a movie, and I'm not really participating in anything. Does anyone out there have lucid dreams? Yeah, go back to the previous page and read Johnny Blaze's posts, he has them... How old are you anyway? 21 Basically this is the best my life is ever gonna get. After this it's just a long downhill slide.... and then death. I'm 41 this year - how much of a further 'downhill slide' do you want.!? It's all good, 41 is the new 21!

Another common interpretation is related to vanity...((i.e. teeth play a big part in physical attractiveness in most western countries)). P.S. I've had those dreams of my teeth falling out and gumming and crying my way through the rest of the dream. And yeah, I wake up to check the mirror and see if I'm still gorgeous...I'm not but I'm happy as hell to find I still got the teeth! Oh, totally. I'm vain as hell. I also have a teeth issue. I had a wicked overbite and gap teeth til age 19 when I FINALLY got braces. Ugh. I also fell on the playground at age 7 and chipped my two front teeth.... I got me some fake teeth. So yes, teeth are a sensitive topic for me, especially with my Jupiter-sized ego.

I have some T-shirts like that, though clearly none that truly compare.... And it still fits too and is only a medium size! Ok it stretches a bit, but not that much... I always get my tour shirts in large.... I'm preparing for old age. It's 2012 you won't see 22! I turn 22 in September. Looks like I'll just make the cutoff. I wonder how it's all going to end come December? Meteors? Floods? Plague of locusts? Surprise Palin presidential victory?

  20. I gotta say, while I prefer CA over S&A (the music is better), S&A is a beautifully engineered and mixed record. It sounds very full and lush. CA sounds a little pinched and harsh to me. There's isn't a lot of room to breathe. And I KNOW, I know, I haven't heard the actual CD-quality version yet, so maybe the mix will sound radically different there, but I doubt it.
  21. Happy birthday! You seem like a pretty cool, chill dude.
