  1. This was the toughest of these threads for me, but I chose GUP because it was the only one of the three choices with no weak links. I think HYF has one weak link: "Second Nature" I think PRESTO has one weak link: "Superconductor" Other than that, these three albums would be almost impossible for me to choose a "best". So GUP gets the nod for every song being amazing!
  2. SIGNALS is my personal favorite album, but when trying to objectively judge "best", I chose PW because it is probably the most brilliant transition album of all time for any band. The balance between what they had been and what they were becoming is perfect. This could sound like blasphemy to some, but I think every song on PW is better than "Tom Sawyer".
  3. I chose Hemispheres because it is the culmination of everything they had been building and evolving towards in the 70's. It's not only that there are no weak moments...there are no moments that aren't anything less than amazing. In "Behind the Lighted Stage", Neil says that they knew they were overreaching tremendously with this album and that its ambitions were beyond their talents at the time. Even still, they all rose to the challenge and delivered a timeless classic. BTW, this is my first post here. I've been a RUSH junkie for well over 3 decades now!
