  1. Ever since S&A husband and I convinced ourselves to see multi shows, with the rational that this might be the final hoorah. And yet when "the last tour of this magnitude" announcement came out, we were still surprised and saddened. I believe it was the most eloquent/Canadian way to let us know that the fat lady was warming up, without coming across like so many of these cheeseball retirement tours. I think we can agree the guys are perfectionist - and these past few years have been perfect for the band in terms of musical and professional success. A highly reviewed concept album, successful documentary, positive main stream media recognition (f@#$ you still, RS!), Hall of Fame, sold out shows and rave reviews in their 60s. We see enough bands down here at Epcot and neighboring theme parks in the twilight of their careers - some still sound great, but a majority are sad shadows of their glory days. Can't say I entirely blame Neil for wanting to go out on a high note - not saying I like it, nor do I get the impression that the other guys are as anxious to hang up the Rush gear just yet. I've speculated from the beginning that Neil's the one that said no more after R40. And to save him from taking all the heat from fans for being the party pooper (not that Tendinitis isn't a real issue), the talk of Alex's arthritis came up (and subsequently blown up) in the press. Do I think he was happily surprised at how well this tour came off? Yep. Enough to change his mind about future tours? Nope. The guy has always had a lot to say to our little peanut gallery - here's hoping that after a couple years of retirement, he wants to pick up the musical conversation where we left off. ( :
  2. Well, I'm off to start the "Will they tour again and when and how much will you hate the set list?" Thread....
  3. You be careful. Thanks - hubs is driving while I'm on periscope patrol. ( :
  4. Nooooooo!!!! (Careens off highway lunging for phone with lost feed)

  7. My understanding, in a nutshell, is that it's because their not storing the info - like YouTube. But only time will tell for sure if there will be copyright challenges.
  8. When we're having withdrawals next week, can someone put on one of the concert DVDs and periscope it from your living room? Maybe progressively get drunk or have your wife get drunk and dance ala Bob's Girlfriend. TIA
  9. very curious! My guess is: “Sayonara suckers!” "Peace, we're out" and drops the mic! "Just kidding! See ya next summer!"... I hope.
  10. Any particular feeds with good sound? (And can I say one last time, I f***ing LOVE THIS TECHNOLOGY... and you guys!)
  11. Hi gang - late getting here, just bolted out of Dave Matthews and scoping from the car on 3 hr drive home. Any surprises so far?
  12. Gotta be up early in the morning too - good night all! See ya (virtually) in LA!
  13. yup - I tortured myself with this. Why not? It's only money. Time. Time away from family. etc. Couldn't do it.... We ultimately decided against because we already had tickets for Dave Matthews in West Palm. Though it's still hard to justify, knowing that this has strong possibility of the last while Dave is gonna play for college kids forever.
  14. You're good Alph - no live feeds right now because it's intermission. All you'll find is the replays. Scorers will pick back up shortly - welcome to the party!!!
  15. :laughing guy: Best rule: if you don't like the music, don't go because you "love your spouse". It's sad to see couples leave halfway through because one of them didn't want to come in the first place. Yes, but I was once one of "those wives"... I even made us leave half way thru a Vegas show to go across the street to see Zumanity (I know, I know - it's a crime that I will never cease to hear about till the end of time). However, being exposed to the show was what brought me over to the dark side eventually. One day you're "that dragon video is sorta cute" to "sure flights across the county are expensive two days out and tickets are a zillion dollars on stub hub, but let's do it!!!!!". ( :
  16. Ladies and Gentlemen, I give you Jessica's feed (sorry it's pasting weird): At a Rush concert because I love my husband. They're playing Subdivisions. Kill me. https://www.periscope.tv/w/aIrthTI4MTE1NTF8NTA2MjY2MDRER_29pA_oWNzzRDupzKydmMLgXDRPr29IVLphtiBDng== (sor
  17. Wow. Winner for furthest view I've seen. I hope they give you a Sherpa with these tickets.
  18. Not even close - I just checked back to the thread for the first feed I joined here on TRF - Lincoln feed by Bob - he was at 725!!! I recall some 500's on other shows too. Thanks for the info! I'm surprised that we wouldn't see numbers at the end like the beginning - though the west coast time zone might knock out a lot of our European family.
  19. Can we give you a nickname like cactus pete or Bob's girlfriend? :D You can't win a spot in the Hall of Fame if you don't play, Tom.
  20. This is both an excellent and extremely depressing idea...
  21. Post your phone number and we'll just text ya. :D
