Either I am not very critical of what I like, or I'm a fanboy, because anything with the Steven Wilson name for me assures me it is high-quality, so be it Porcupine Tree or SW solo, I'm glad we're getting something from one of the coolest and laid-back dudes in the music scene right now. This guy is just a cool dude who happens to make adventurous and beautiful music that I really love. That said, it'd suck to see PT break up but I highly doubt they did.

So I just got back from vacation, in Orlando at Univsal Studios and Disney. At Universal, I competed in fear factor, and I had to drink this: Scraps of leftover fast food meat (all pink), rotten clams, fish head, maggots, crickets, and sour milk all blended together.

I voted 8 but could be 9 sometimes, even 10.

Very few if that stuff is good. I like when it is ambient and atmospheric and the rapping takes the background, or if there is actually real music behind it. I forgot who it was but my friend was showing me this sick hip-hop artist who actually uses guitars, drums, and bass, as well as other real instruments. His lyrics are much better and well-written than the usual I got the best droll and fuckall the hoes lyrics. And the music is just great. But I rarely hear good rap/hip-hop, to me it's almost always garbage, and seriously all the people that defend rap thinking TRF aren't open-minded, you're just being silly now. Also I like when Pain of Salvation raps, as cheesy as it can be. Does that count?

Probably Permanent Waves or Hemispheres are the best, followed by A Farewell to Kings, Moving Pictures, Power Windows, and Hold Your Fire. CA is probably above average, but this changes often.
