Guys and gals, I would like to stress 2 things regarding sending things to be signed - Proper return postage and proper return packaging. Obviously take your goodies (with return packaging enclosed) to your post office and have it weighed for proper postage. Ask if the return postage will be the same, or (and this is big) if you are shipping to a foreign country makes sure that the return postage is an acceptable form for that particular country. Naturally, you don't want said goodies to be damaged in transit. I made the mistake of using a priority mail envelope for my return with a cardboard insert. Obviously they aren't going to sit and make sure it's in properly and mine had to spend a week inside a book to flatten it out for framing. My next one will be shipped in a box both ways. Granted it'll be a small-ish box, but a box for sure... Finally, make sure you give your item enough time to get there. I mailed mine via priority mail 7 days before the show. I got it back 1 week afterward. GOOD LUCK!!

QUOTE (Ancient Ways @ May 19 2011, 07:09 PM) QUOTE (garyg7133 @ May 19 2011, 11:31 AM) Up yours douchebag. I love this post because it is so angry and apparently just directed out to the entire world. Nice work friend. Actually it was directed at the person who said that T4E and Counterfarts are better than HYF. I happened to have sat next to him at MSG and we've been in various bands together for years.... Notice though, that the complainers showed up again? First set are duds, concerts aren't as good....blah blah blah....more seats for the rest of us. Yeah, the MSG crowd was really dead in that first set..... I'm sorry we weren't "Rio".....

QUOTE (TheBluePhoenix @ May 19 2011, 10:31 AM) I say we've had enough of this kind of thread. I think you should take your own advice. If you don't like someone's comments then go take a piss! I take it you're the board police? Read above. We're all entitled to opinions.

QUOTE (32Ford @ May 19 2011, 09:29 AM) QUOTE (garyg7133 @ May 18 2011, 11:24 AM)One of my buddies and I go at it all the time over Counterparts and T4E but neither of us go on and on about it. I am not a fan of those albums outside of 2 or 3 songs between them therefore I don't listen to them. He happens to be a fan of both and while we jokingly get on each other about it once in a while, it doesn't compare to what I see here sometimes. Counterparts and/or T4E over Hold Your Fire any day of the week my friend. um, that's my buddy. Why not go take a piss yourslf.....

The first couple of times I saw the band, I had crap seats. As time went on, I got side seats all the time or sat in the back where I felt the best overall sound was. I lucked out during the S&A tour and got 3rd row. I doubt I'll ever get that close again without paying a premium. I'm certainly not going to bitch about it though the way some go off. This is the band I grew up with and I'll go to every show that I can. Sooner or later, they'll stop and then everybody who's bitched about this and that can go see nickelback.

Never was on any other board. I found RIAB a year or so ago and this one some time after that. RIAB's format isn't the greatest ( IMO ) . ...and yes, a debate between 2 people is far different between that of a few thousand, but holy smoke do some go off the deep end. I replied to another earlier that has apparently been raging for quite some time and some of the quotes are ridiculous....

QUOTE (briremo @ May 18 2011, 11:19 AM) The OP feels the same way I do, but I havent started a thread over it. I pray every day (figuratively) that these guys keep going. I will literally shed tears the day they hang it up. Just like when Don Shula retired ...and normally I would never have started a thread over it but I clicked on a thread this morning that was a pure complaint-fest.

Constructive is a whole different story. I think that just about everyone here has a song or an album that either doesn't compare to the others or maybe they just flat out don't like. One of my buddies and I go at it all the time over Counterparts and T4E but neither of us go on and on about it. I am not a fan of those albums outside of 2 or 3 songs between them therefore I don't listen to them. He happens to be a fan of both and while we jokingly get on each other about it once in a while, it doesn't compare to what I see here sometimes. A lot of folks here are musicians and can look at the music an entirely different way. While I'm not a fan of the aforementioned albums, I can absolutely appreciate them for some of their complexities. We all know the tix aren't cheap. We all know that this album is slow coming. My solution to the tix? I bought a cheapie seat at the Garden and had a great time for my second show on the tour. My solution to the new album? I listen to the songs that ARE out and then listen to the rest of their MASSIVE catalog of music. Unlike some other big name bands, Rush have continued to bring out new music every few years. They aren't just living off their old stuff and recycling the same 15-20 songs like certain bands do.

.... a good kick up the hole. Nice one. But seriously, I just get frustrated as a relatively infrequent visitor that when I do have the time to check in here it's a lot of the same nonsense. I am enjoying the fact that the shows overseas are being appreciated by the fans who don't get to see them as often as those of us in North America. I'll admit I've seen them twice this tour and when they come back again (hopefully) for a CA tour I'll be there again. I just don't understand why, if everything this band seems to do is such an annoyance to some, do they even call themselves "fans" ? My apologies for the rant, but at this point we're lucky they're out there at all.... IMO.....

Excellent, excellent news ! Glad it worked out !!

Admittedly, I have not been a member of the forum for very long but I've had about enough. It doesn't matter what the setlist is, where they are playing, how much the tickets cost, what dvd is coming out, what song is (or is not) on the radio even....all anyone here seems to do is b_tch. It seems like a handful of folks see Rush for what and who they are - an aging rock band that we grew up with who, at any given time may just say f_ck it and stop touring. If you don't like the set list, DON'T GO. More tickets for those of us who just want to hear the music and maybe luck out and get good seats. Don't like the videos? Go take a piss or better yet, get something to eat or drink...no wait, that'll be a complaint too.... I can't wait to see how guys start screaming that they owe you something when they retire....
-
If the ticket was signed for, then that may be an issue. If it was regular post and was not signed for it would fall under their criteria. It may anyway as long as OP can prover he is the original purchaser. As for DHL, they stopped shipping domestically un the US but they handle overseas packages coming into the US a lot and they fall under the unbrella of the US Postal Service.
-
Ticket sellers / suppliers have what is called a "lost ticket voucher". You contact them to let them know that the ticket has been lost in transit (hell, I wouldn't even let them know it was received by your parents). You will need confirmation / receipt from original purchase which will likely have to be presented at the box office prior to the show.

Anything that pisses Hitler off is ok by me.... BTW, take a joke people. Like another poster said, there are TONS of Hitler / Downfall mockeries out there, most by the same person. Go look up "Hitler wants Le Cellier" He even hates Disney for *od's sake. I've been laughing at the Disney clips for almost a year now....

Just checked. Tix in the 100's section available for tonight on the arena website... just sayin....

The Camera Eye BTW, sorry about the shaky video in some parts of my clips. I had a frikkin' mighty oak sitting in front of me and had to work around him...
-
I'm about to upload Camera Eye. It's a MAMMOTH file. I will probably have the link up here tomorrow and yeah, it was great when the crowd chimed in.
-
Would have made for a phenominal recording.

Guys, just posted a link to one of my vids from last night on my msg review thread. Also have The Camera Eye. All 3-4 of my vids will be uploaded by tomorrow night. Taking forever b/c they're HD.

For your enjoyment. From our press row seats. More to come, but connection slow today. I have full Far Cry and Camera Eye. PM me if you would like still shots. I have a ton.

A sold out Madison Square Garden. An evening with Rush, a couple of beers and some wings....what could go wrong? Actually, not much. Other than the opening video coming to a screeching halt and then starting again from the beginning there weren't any hitches. A sour note each from Ged and Alex went largely unnoticed from the people around us . Geddy's voice was really strong and it was easy to see that the guys were into this one right from the start. Great crowd too. To the people here who bought the "South" tickets what'd you think? Pretty sweet spot eh? We were in North and my buddies couldn't believe that there was nobody crammed on top of us. Highlights for me were Presto, Red Barchetta, Marathon, Camera Eye and Vital Signs. Only peeve was that Ged's bass sounded a little thin in the beginning but by about 10 minutes in all was good.
