  1. I have been a Rush fan since I was 13 years old (I am now 42). Rush's "Grace Under Pressure" tour was my very first concert in St. Louis, Missouri. After about 150 concerts later, Rush was the last concert I attended about 20 days ago at the American Airlines Center in Dallas, Texas. I am one that agrees that Rush should have been inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in the first year that They were eligible back in 1999. I would have to say that I believe that one major factor of Rush finally being inducted this year (besides Their Music, of course, which speaks for itself) is the strong voice and reason of Eddie Trunk from "That Metal Show". I Love that (Metal) Show. He has spoken passionately about Rush's exclusion for many years now. I think that Eddie Trunk and his co-hosts have finally woken up the committee that nominates who gets on the ballot. Great Job!!! Congratulations are in order for Mr. Geddy Lee and Mr. Alex Lifeson and Mr. Neil Peart. I would like to say to them, "Welcome to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame!!!".
  2. Although I was not even born yet, how about Jimi Hendrix opening for the Monkees? That has to be the most lopsided and uneven headliner/opening acts of all-time. I usually never go and check out the opening bands when I go to a concert. I prefer to "pre-party" with my friends and other concertgoers in the parking lot/bar/whatever before entering the "concert hall". I do remember going in early to see Alice in Chains when they opened up for Kiss in St. Louis. This was back in mid to late 1990's when Kiss was on one of their "farewell" tours. Alice in Chains came out onstage and played their set with the Arenas house lights on the whole time. "Rooster" is a great song. By the way, Kiss played a good show. I was pretty excited to see the original Kiss in full-blown make-up and watching Ace Frehley (one of my favorite guitar players). However, the concert was fairly predictable and routine but still good, nonetheless.
