  1. Wouldnt this work in either the Games forum or the other music forum? Echo and the Bunnymen
  2. Quick, someone pull the plug on this. Maybe its just me, but I grew up watching the Christopher Reeves movies, it just seems so wrong to see them continue it. Oh well, I guess it was inevidable for them to return to a popular storyline, thats the trend in Hollywood these days.

QUOTE (D-13 @ Sep 5 2005, 12:29 PM) QUOTE (Moonraker @ Sep 5 2005, 12:23 PM) A couple weeks ago I picked up a few new ones Arcade Fire - The Arcade Fire (EP) Echo and the Bunnymen - Ocean Rain Iron Maiden - Live After Death Nine Inch Nails - Only (single) VHS or Beta - Night On Fire The Who - Who's Last The Who - Live at the Isle of Wight Festival 1970 Then yesterday I picked up a couple more The Cure - Faith Death Cab For Cutie - Plans The Smiths - The Queen Is Dead you will have to tell me how good Death Cab For Cutie is!! I loved Transatlanticism Its really good. I cant base it off of previous DCFC stuff cuz this is the first one I have, but there are a lot of great songs on this. A couple skippers, but for the most part, incredible song writing. I especially like the Lennon, Imagine feel that is on Different Names for the Same Things.

  6. The only scene that really had me laughing was when the old farmer shot the cow infront of the bus of school children. Other then that, it was hyped up to be way more then what I thought it would be. It was ok to watch once, I dont need to see it again.

  8. QUOTE (Indica @ Sep 1 2005, 01:31 AM) QUOTE (Moonraker @ Aug 24 2005, 03:54 AM) Heh, already traded my two SOAD tickets for 2 GA NIN tickets. I decided to go for the Download show since there will be 6 bands, Quality>Quanity Heh, that was the idea. Never was that big of a SOAD fan to begin with at all, though I am sure they put on a hell of a show. Mars Volta was really the only driving force in buying those tickets. BTW, congrats on the Foo Fighters floor seats, I missed out on em by calling ticketmaster 5 minutes too late. I'm gonna have to find some other route to get those tickets.
  9. 1) Van Halen's version of Pretty Woman is actually a Roy Orbison cover. 2) Mystery Science Theatre 3000: The Movie was released in 1996. 3) Madagascar is southeast of Greenland.
  10. 1) Protien 2) Prowteen 3) Prywkzleneteen
  11. 1) A line to this one tv show I'm watching is "You're not going to believe this but that psycho Julie called my apartment last night." 2) The only words on my toenail clippers are "made in Korea" 3) Most of the residents of Atlanta are not blind.
  12. 1) there are 0 grams of protien in a single can of Lipton Brisk Iced Tea 2) My phone is made by Conair, yes the same company that makes hair supplies 3) Some drummers use size 5A sticks
  13. BTW, once a setlist becomes available, I will be writing a review for the Tom Petty show I saw last night.
  14. SCORE!!!! Average ticket prices I have seen are as much as I have paid.... for 1 ticket.
  15. I've never been all that big on DJ's and just pure club/dance music, but there are a few names that are really peaking my interest of bands there. Just so you know, if you miss LCD Soundsystem, you will be missing THE best show of the year. I saw them at the Fillmore in May without having heard anything by them before, and I cant even begin to tell you how incredible that show was walking out of the place. I might even put it ahead of the Nine Inch Nails concerts I've been to (possible exception for the Davis show) as the best show I've seen all year.
  16. Heh, already traded my two SOAD tickets for 2 GA NIN tickets. I decided to go for the Download show since there will be 6 bands, all of which I have never seen and a couple that I have been dying to see for a while now. It is kinda a bummer though, I really did wanna see Mars Volta again, and I have heard nothing but rave reviews for SOAD's live show... but in the end there were just too many good names on the other show to miss. Glad you had fun though
  17. There aint no bears in there Not a single bear in there
  18. I dont want to see either Coldplay from the lawn seats at the shoreline. If I'm not within the first 10 rows, that place isnt even worth wasting my time to go to.
  19. QUOTE (madra sneachta @ Aug 17 2005, 05:47 AM) The Decembrists - Picaresque I keep seeing this bands name pop up all over the place and its usually followed with glowing accolades, so I decided to pick up a ticket for their 2nd Fillmore show in SF. I'm decidedly going in blind (or would it be deaf in this case...) and not listening to any of thier material. I will be a clean slate and let what they have to say take over.
  20. Stellastarr* will be releasing thier new album on September 13th. I took notice of this band earlier today when I heard they would be playing Popscene in September. They some really catchy songs, check out thier myspace site at http://www.myspace.com/stellastarr 2 nights in San Francisco, I'm gonna have to hit both of those. They sound like they would make for a great live act. Plus they are playing Popscene, I love that club
  21. QUOTE (paganoman @ Aug 16 2005, 08:57 AM) I don't know I could have forgotten these: You need the Bud Light Presents - Real American Heroes/Real Men of Genius commercials. They make excellent random appearances between your songs when in shuffle mode on your player. I have loads of em, and they're a riot. Because if you're using SPF 30, you might as well be using cooking oil. Something smells delicious
  22. Death Cab For Cutie will be inn San Francisco with Stars on November 13th. I will be picking up a ticket for this one.
  23. QUOTE (D-13 @ Aug 10 2005, 04:50 PM) QUOTE (Moonraker @ Aug 10 2005, 12:57 PM) A few new cd purchases were made recently. Arcade Fire - Funeral (listened to it 5 times today already) Interpol - Antics New Order - Power, Corruption & Lies 22-20s - 22-20s Death of a Party - The Shame of the Sweet (Gotta give respect to an incredible band from San Francisco, amazing live show) Arcade Fire is really really good!! good choice Yes it is, it is very quickly becoming one of my favorite albums. I may now have to change the order of my top 5 album list because of this one. I bought it 2 days ago and it has already had a couple dozen rotations in my cd player.
