Forever is their second highest charting US single ever. I like the song, I don’t care who co-wrote it. Forever isn’t that album’s songwriting problem. Tunes like Boomerang and Read My Body (and others) are far more tuneless bits of shit than that Bolton-penned song will ever be.

HITS had potential. I could make a nice 9-10 song album out of what’s already there with better production. It’s way too f***ing long.

For it's definitely Hot in the Shade.

Holy Cat Shit Pat! We totally agree again!!!!! WOW!

"NOT IN THE SHADE!"

Pure SHITE!

St. Anger

Vapor Skidmarks

Hot In The Shade

Pure shite.

Funny I'm seeing KISS in 9 days!!! CAN'T WAIT!!!!!!

I can't believe I saw that KISS put out yet another greatest hits comp called KISSWORLD.

Crazy Crazy Cash Grab Crabs!

I love "Asylum." Saw that tour with WASP opening. Cow Palace. Place was half empty. Even Paul made a few sarcastic remarks.

Loved seeing Eric Carr's drum solo on his monster red kit.

Amazing how

Neil Peart

Eric Carr

Simon Phillips

All had monster red drum kits back then.

LOVE IT!

Yeah it's just a very weak album. A waste of vinyl I thought when I bought it. And It doesn't even look like a KISS album. If they'd said later that it was a collection of outtakes from the last three albums it would've made sense. There are a couple of decent songs hidden somewhere on there, but that's another thing there's too many songs on it, I think there's 15, that's about 12 too many. It's not Hot in the Shade it should have been called NOT KILLERS All FILLER! And if you notice they didn't bother to remaster it in 1997 with the other ones, they stopped after Crazy Nights, so that says it all.

Excellent analysis of a piece of shit cash grab album. I totally agree! "HATE IN THE SHADE!" LOL!

"Hide Your Heart was written by Ace right? It's also on the "Trouble Walkin'" album.

The ACE version is much better.

"Forever" is a ok Paul ballad hit.

"Rise To It' has some niffy slide blues guitar intro.

Forever loses all credibility when you find out who wrote it.

KeenEllipticalAsiaticgreaterfreshwaterclam-size_restricted.gif

"Unholy" SHIT!

Michael Bolton! VOMIT!

I had to look it up but regardless "Forever" was a huge hit for the band in 1990.

The most requested video on MTeVil

Also number 8 on Billboard.

Regardless of the cheese, Paul Stanley is a genius and one of the greatest frontmen in fuckking ROCK HISTORY!!

He's right there next to David Lee Roth for me and people love to bash Diamond Dave too.

Fukkk it.

I'm taking all the music I love to my grave.

I will "FIGHT FOR THE RIGHT TO PARTY!"

Whoops! Beastie Boys!

I will "I WANT TO ROCK AND ROLL ALL DAY AND PARTY EVERY NIGHT!" FUDGE IT BABY!

Just grow old and listen to Kenny G then!

Peaked at number 4 on MTV Top 20 Video Countdown as well. Jello Biafra was right. MTV get off the air!

Hahahaha!! I love "Frankenchrist! My favorite DK record!!

In answer to that off topic question, no, I'm not going on to do the "Kiss Kruise" from Oct. 30th-Nov. 4th. I wasn't planning to see Kiss on their recent "End of the Road World Tour" either. I think, and feel that, since "Ace Frehley", and "Peter Criss", who were the two other original members in what was once a really good band, and group, and haven't been in it, they aren't the same, and overall, to me, they have declined. With the way Paul, and Gene, have been acting, with their attitudes, and personalities, and Paul, having voice problems, and issues doesn't help, too. Edited by Derek19

Wow Derek! Perhaps one day I will pass my torch to you!

I love that you can go off topic on threads.

No way will I ever do a Kiss Kruise.

Or really any sort of cruise ship for that matter.

So many viruses on those ships. Contaminated food. Power goes out. Stuck inside a small cabin regardless of a porthole or a window. Yuck!

I will say though Derek, my buddy went last year on the Kruise and I heard it was AMAZING!

Peter Criss will never be invited back for anything. Paul and Peter hate each other.

I was at a KISS show in Concord years ago with Peter on the drums.

Paul stopped the show. He looked back at Peter way up on his drum riser and Paul shouted...... "GO BACK TO TOKYO PETER!" I think it was in reference to the way each KISS member got one million dollars do to a few gigs in Japan.

It was so awkward.

But anyway, on the Kruise last year Bruce had his band and Ace had his band too on the ship!!!

Bruce and Ace played with KISS!!!!! My buddy told me that Bruce nailed every solo. Ace was sloppy. But the highlight of the ACE band show was that they did "Dark Light" live! I LOVE THAT SONG!

Hey!

Guess what?

I'm back on topic and I didn't even think about it until now! LOL!

KISS NAVY "FOREVER!" LOL!

Seeing KISS this Saturday!

Seeing KISS on my birthday in Vegas!

Seeing KISS in Oakland!

I don't care about vocal issues and age. I had to deal with watching Geddy struggle until the fateful end.

Just going to see KISS with my dad again will be PRICELESS!

Life is short!

LONG LIVE ROCK I NEED IT EVERYDAY!

Signed,

THE WHO?

Earl, I hope you'll get to enjoy "Kiss - End of the Road World Tour" in Sacramento, over there in California, Las Vegas, Nevada, and Oakland, over there in California, including with your dad. The both of you should be able to cherish your time together as dad, and son. Edited by Derek19

You're welcome, Earl. At Kiss' End of the Road World Tour in Las Vegas, enjoy, and cherish it, with your mom, and dad, and I hope your mom will like it. I saw Kiss, with the four original members on their "Alive Worldwide Tour 1996-1997" in Vancouver, which I thought was great, and I'm glad, I did, and was able to, when they reunited for it. Derek!

You are a good man!

Amazing the small connections we can have with humans even on a public forum. I prefer to met people in person. Have a beer and shoot the shit about rock and roll.

But I've met so many awesome people on here despite my "no filter" in writing approach.

LOL!

It's all good. My passion is with the music Derek.

To quote RATT, "That's the bottom line." LOL!

Dude!! I saw that 1996 KISS TOUR in San Jose with my dad!!!

Jeez Derek.

One of my best friend's lives near Seattle. For the last two years I have travelled up there to meet him.

Then we drive into Vancouver.

I love Vancouver!

Two years ago we went for UDO but he cancelled. He was snowed in. But we went see STEEL PANTHER at The Commodore Ballroom! EPIC!

Then we hit a strip club next to our hotel room.

Best strip clubs are in Vancouver! LOL!

Then last year I went back up with my buddy.

We saw UDO!! ACCEPT MUSIC!!! BALLS TO THE WALL!!!

Then we saw STEEL PANTHER again and we caught the SJ Sharks too! They beat the Canucks that same night! EPIC!!!

Derek, I may be a spaz but I hope you can read through the words and see my passion for rock and roll.

I will travel the world to see ROCK AND ROLL!

Not scared.

Went to Toronto in October to do that Grapes Under Pressure IV Tour with Geddy and Alex. "Mission" complete.

They were sooooo nice. Shooting the shit with Geddy about baseball twice was so fun!!

Life is short.

I love for ROCK AND ROLL!

"Rock And Rolo Band" by Boston is on right now.

Says it all.

I'm rambling.

KISS RULES!

CHEERS!

Earl

Another off the topic post. Kiss' song "C'mon and Love Me" is a classic.

"Sweet memories.........."
