invisible airwave
What a coincidence! I'm listening to Same Deep Water As You by The Cure right now. Disintegration, bleak yet sonically awesome.
Unattractive Truth
QUOTE (invisible airwave @ Mar 30 2012, 01:38 PM) What a coincidence! I'm listening to Same Deep Water As You by The Cure right now. Disintegration, bleak yet sonically awesome. Disintegration is one of the Ten Best Albums Ever Recorded. Prayers for Rain and Plainsong are just so grim and dirge-like. Chock full of mopey goodness.

Fascination Street has my favorite bass riff of all time, so badass sounding. Simon Gallup is such an underrated bass guitarist.
Xanadu93
Would every Smiths song ever released qualify? Edited March 30, 2012 by Xanadu93
PolarizeMe
QUOTE (Xanadu93 @ Mar 30 2012, 05:49 PM)Would every Smiths song ever released qualify? I was thinking the same thing. Even their most upbeat, catchy songs like Jeane and Barbarism Begins At Home are depressing in a way. I'd say How Soon Is Now, Heaven Knows I'm Miserable Now, and There Is A Light That Never Goes Out are their three most depressing songs IMO. Great band though.
