At the end of the Hemispheres credits/ liner notes it reads "This album was recorded through the Duffoscope!" What does this mean, or is it simply an inside joke? unsure.gif

Duffo was the nickname for Pat Moran, who was the engineer at Rockfield
Studios, where A Farewell To Kings and Hemispheres were recorded. The band
liked the way he heard their sound, and called his process of mixing the
"duffoscope".

The Duffoscope is also mentioned in this 2012 video interview with Alex Lifeson beginning at the 1:38 mark.

Whew!. Necropost, but at least it's related to the OP, which isn't often the case.

I am not really sure about that. Where did you hear it? or maybe it was diffoscope that you just heard or read wrong. If not, maybe it is an inside joke that you probably y should ask to the person you heard it first.

It clearly says that this is noted in the Hemispheres liner notes tab here, but Alex answered the Duffoscope inside joke in the video interview I posted.

How much more clear does this have to be?
