yyz
QUOTE (NeilPeartFan2112 @ Mar 8 2005, 06:27 PM) QUOTE (GhostGirl @ Mar 8 2005, 11:49 AM) Lac Echo is one of the lakes located in the southern end of the Papineau-Labelle Wilderness Preserve in Quebec. From http://jungle.ca/lacecho/ (camper's journal) "Lac Echo is a 6km long lake probably 500m wide – running north-south, near Val-des-Bois. It’s a big lake with only seven sites on it, all placed fairly discreetly away from each other." Thanks GG. Great info.

Magnus
I have a feeling that the name "Lac Echo" was a pseudonym used in Ghost Rider to protect the true location of Neil's cottage. I remember Neil saying in the book that his cottage was near Mont Tremblant, which is quite a bit east of Papineau-Labelle. I wouldn't be surprised if he used a false name for the lake so people like us wouldn't go stalking him at his cottage

Ghost of a Rider
QUOTE (Magnus @ Mar 9 2005, 09:38 PM) I have a feeling that the name "Lac Echo" was a pseudonym used in Ghost Rider to protect the true location of Neil's cottage. I felt the same way. I assumed that he was using pseudonyms for privacy purposes. After all, isn't it strange how one of the lakes mentioned bears the name of his best friend; Brutus.
