I'm sure this will be entertaining, but he won't match up to Gene Wilder in the original.

I'm not so sure about that.

 

According to my wife, a big Roald Dahl fan, the original book was very dark, something the film wasn't. however, Tim Burton, with Johnny Depp in tow, is just the person to bring that darkness out.

My girlfriend is gonna flip when she see's this. Her favorite movie is the original Willy Wonka. You have no idea how many times I've had to watch it with her. Oh well, as long as I have my walkman and 2112, I'm happy.

 

Here's to hoping Burton doesn't screw this up like he did "Batman" and "Planet of the Apes."
