Meanwhile the Lions are keeping the Packers down and nearly out.

The defense is playing well and getting points. If only Stafford hadn't turned the ball over three times and we had a decent field goal kicker!

What's up with Rodgers? Does he not want it anymore? Does he look like he doesn't want to be out there?

There must be something up with him if he can't shred Detroit's depleted secondary.

He's gone soft after too many of those discount double check performances...

Assuming this holds up, it's good to see the Saints get their first win. The defense didn't make many huge plays, but they held up strong. The offense needs to get revved up for Dallas next week. :madra:

Aye we need to sharpen up.

Brees-to-Colston TD hook-up surpasses Unitas-to-Berry; and other notable facts from Sunday's game

http://imgick.nola.com/home/nola-media/width620/img/tpphotos/photo/2014/09/21/15903797-mmmain.jpg

hen Drew Brees threw an 18-yard touchdown strike to Marques Colston in the fourth quarter Sunday, it marked the 64th time the two have connected for touchdowns. That moved them into 7th place all-time in NFL history, surpassing the Johnny Unitas/Raymond Berry tandem for the Baltimore Colts.

Some other stats and records from Sunday's game:

The Saints did not commit a turnover in the game. The team is 26-0 under Sean Payton when playing games without a turnover.

The next pass that Pierre Thomas catches will put him first among all running backs in Saints history. His 295th catch will break a tie with Reggie Bush.

Brandin Cooks now has 18 receptions in his first three games. Only four other players in NFL history have had more through three games in their rookie seasons: Anquan Boldin (23), Earl Cooper (21), Sid Blanks (19) and Bush (19).

For the 30th time in his career, Drew Brees completed at least 75 percent of his passes (27 of 35, 293 yards, two touchdowns, 120.3 QBR). The Saints are 26-4 when he is over that benchmark.

Josh Hill's 34-yard touchdown catch in the first quarter was the greatest play of his career. Before that play, Hill's longest catch was 9 yards. He had another catch Sunday for 14 yards, and finished with a career-best 48 yards receiving.

It was the first time the Saints did not allow a touchdown since a 41-0 shellacking of Tampa Bay in 2012.

Packer fans (well, some anyway) are blaming Olivia Munn.
