the masked drummer Posted June 25, 2012 Share Posted June 25, 2012 I finally picked up my copy and listened a couple times and I think it's great. Mixing and mastering sounds good, Alex has some cool new riffs, it's very organic-sounding. I don't know quite what that means, but this one and the last album both are very blues-based, which is cool. Neil plays too many straight sixteenth notes on this album, but hey... 1) Neil is still Alive 2)Geddy is Still Alive 3)Alex is still alive 4) they still tour 5)they still write new music, and they still do what they want when they want. I have a great deal of respect for Rush. Most megarockstars burn out very quickly and Rush didn't at all. I for one am very happy with this new album.
