Presto-digitation
Saw a really good (HBO) film called The Sunset Limited, starring Sam Jackson and Tommy Lee Jones...based on a play by Cormac McCarthy (his screenplay; directed by Jones). Really compelling look at faith and atheism after Jackson saves Jones from a suicide attempt. The BEST Jackson role in many, many years...hands down. Just powerhouse performances from each with truly excellent dialogue from each, which is a good thing...as the whole film is pretty much all talking. The entire film takes place over a single night in Jackson's apartment. 90 taut minutes of sharp writing and a keen discussion about faith that doesn't choose sides, claim victories, or leave things tidy. Can't recommend this more when available on Netflix if you don't have HBO.
1-0-0-1-0-0-1
I keep catching this in the middle, and I really need to time it so I can see it from the beginning. What I've seen so far has been very interesting, and those two guys are bringing it.
