I don't know what's going on, but when I turned on my computer, I noticed that my files are gone. Is there a way to get them back?

bump.

I can really use somebody's help. I still have my files, but when I turned my computer on, my desktop was clear of any files, even though they show up in my desktop folder.

Is there some way to restore my system to the way it was? I got the Dell screen saver for one, and I can't view YouTube because I seem to now lack a player.

There's more, but I need help from a computer type on this board.

Thanks

If you right-click on the desktop and choose view, the bottom option is "Show Desktop Icons," that should get your desktop back. (I'm using Vista)

that doesn't work for me. It says all my desktop items are on. John lost all of his iTunes and Rhapsody files.

I have this bar that keeps showing up that says "Internet Explorer is currently running with add-ons disabled, Click here to manage, disable, or remove your add-ons".
